for Telfair, Craig Smith & Madsen

Does this suggest Rubio to Minny is close?

Or Mobley, Duhon, Chandler & Nate for Rubio & junk is possible?

wouldnt it be funny if we traded jeffries to them for Q?

Hell yeah! But we can't ... i think we have to wait a year? Not certain.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'd rather take my chances with Darko than Telfair/Smith. Never been a fan of Telfair.

Q got deported to Minny? Damn...he doesn't deserve that! Q was a good guy his body just betrayed him.

As to Telfair, oh please, just say no. Please let us not even think for a moment that Donnie messed something up for not knowing Telfair and Smith and Madsen were available in trade! Come'on you're all better than that!

RUBIO is coming to play in Minny.

FLYNN will be traded to make room.
That would be a huge mistake. There is no way they trade Flynn. Flynn is NBA ready. He might be better than Rubio right now.

Rubio was drafted partly on the off chance he would play there and mostly on the chance they could use him as a major trade chip. Flynn was drafted just in case Rubio NEVER came over - or if he did - refused to play in Minny and thus, again, would be a very good trade chip - you know, demanding Lee and Nate from the Knicks for his rights. Something to that effect.

So in that I have to say Minny did the right thing to a degree.

of course they did the right thing in getting rubio, but what is his value right now? pretty low, i'm sure.

I think it depends on who wants him. From there, nothing will get done this early, until his buyout is resolved. I still don't know why this guy entered the draft this year or why anyone would consider him - or why players under contract are allowed to do so in the first place. I just don't understand. But it happened.

There is always a chance this guy turns into Milos - a player whose rights are thrown into a garbage trade years after he continued to stay in Europe.

I just don't know what to think about situations such as Rubio's, what the player was thinking, and why a guy with a 4 to 8M dollar buyout clause was allowed to enter the draft. I just don't know. I know I don't like it that's for certain.

Exactly. I thought Minny played it smart. From day one the Rubio camp had an attitude that they wanted him to go to a big town or he would not be playing on a small market team. They are using Flynn as an excuse. If Minny did not draft Flynn, Rubio's camp would probably be pulling the same stunt they are now. There is nothing wrong with getting an insurance plan.
