If they feel they are being disrespected now, what will happen to them after they sign for the QO and are renounced in the summer of 2010?

well, they've both improved each year of their careers, they both, despite certain limitations, do bust it nearly every night and did just deliver 16/12/2 and 18/4/4. and then your team lets you dangle. while it all gets played out on the most public platform possible?? now i agree 100% with how donnie's running this, but i think that "disrespected" would be a reasonable feeling. if they even said it. marbury probably told berman they feel that.
Unless the reports were wrong, Walsh was prepared to offer D Lee 4 yrs, 32 mil. Lee should feel gratitude!

So of you guys are on ****ing crack. Lee has done everything right since he has been here. Please do not question the guy as a professional. His first year, they start the guy we go on a 5 game win streak then he is pushed backed to the bench. Year two he watches Matt Barnes, Jefferies, Frye all start over him, his third year he has to come off the bench because Isiah needed him to win 6th man for his agenda.

This guy plays hard, improves, led the league in double doubles and frankly is one of the only players on this team with class. He oversigns at fan events engages everyone and doesn't treat people like he they don't matter.

We are going to be sorry when we lose this guy. Milsap got paid, Charlie V got paid, Lee deserves it and I will feel disrespected if I was him. Especially when I'm sure he is working hard adding a new dimension to his game. 8-9 million is pretty fair for the guy, anything over is too much. But with a real point guard he average 20 a night and get 10 boards which usually gets you 16 million in this leauge. So half of that for somone without an attitude is a huge bonus. Let's call the guy out, for just asking what is fair for this league

but that already was offered. He feels disrespected because he didn't get 10 to 12 mil.

MS, the point is Lee agent is asking for 12+ and even you seem to agree that is too much. If his agent is still in the moon its impossible Donnie can work something out. If Lee feels disrespected he should blame his agent for a starting number way up market standards.

If Lee's agent went to Walsh saying we want what Milsap and Villaneuva got then Lee would be resigned in about 12 minutes. Donnie has a history of giving out big contracts to his own players. He's not cheap.

I agree with all your Lee sentiments, but those are sentiments. This is the business part of it all. There is NONE ZERO NADA market for Lee at $10-$12mm a year. Millsap and CV prove that the market is what DW is offering. 4 years $32mm.

Gooden and Odom havent been signed either and Odom's team just won a title. Sheed just got the MLE after being a close to max player. Money isnt there.

They're trying to get the most they can. The Knicks are trying to pay them the least they can without alienating them. Seems fair enough to me.

I just think Lee has been a good soldier out there. Granted he gets compensated, but no one should have to deal with human garbage everyday on their job. What Isiah did while he was here is reason enough to revolt, but you heard very little from the guy. He is a better player than Milsap and Charlie V (who may have potential), but I think Lee will eventually get a jumper that is as good as any power forward by the end of the year

I'm going to officially join the Marc Berman Is a Tool club. I thought that the Berman Bashers were overreacting about how sloppy, careless & trivial his "reports" are, but after reading them more and more, I'm on board. He uses Page Six tactics to incite the lowest common denominator in the New York sports fans' collective consciousness: fear, envy, pettiness, impatience, etc.

If Nate & Lee are the grown men & professionals we'd like them to be, they will understand this is a business. And that the club that gave Jerome James his big contract has to really slow its roll, it is what it is. I like them both, and would love them on this team going forward. I hope the front office treats them with respect in these negotiations, but a Berman article that's reporting not facts but feelings is some Perez Hilton, TMZ crap, full stop.

It's only natural for them to feel bad. In Nate's case he has not done anything wrong nor his agent. If this was a private conversation that Lee and Nate are having why should they get blasted? They both hard working players. They do their jobs. Let's not act as if Lee and Nate had a press conference saying,"We feel disrespected."

Exactly Big C. If it's a private conversation, then someone in their camp is squawking, or Berman is full of crap. If it's the former and some agent tactic, it's lame but that's what they do. If it's someone closer to them blabbing their mouths, someone needs to go to Brandon Jennings Reform School.

Then again, it could be that Berman is just full of crap.

I think the nature of the situation lends itself to the fabrication, or partial-fabrication, of a story such as this. Berman is full of it.

His defensive disrespects knickfans..I like lee but part of me feels like he's a numbers guy, I like nate as well but part of me feel like he's more interested in highlights. Had none of these questions come into play they both would be sign.

DW is again draging out another contract issue which is not in he's best intrest coming off very public contract dispute with yet another high profile player.

He kinda did the same with artest and and poor tinsly (who still hasn't played) ..don't know how those tatics will appeal to FA next year

2.) My guess if there really is a "source" then it's the agent
3.) Even if Nate and Lee feel disrespected the GM can't worry about that. If they led us to 50-60 wins then we would placate, but at the moment they are two "nice" players that did nothing for us in terms of wins.
4.) Donnie should offer them each $100,000,000

Bull**** artile.

Walsh has made what is a decent offer to Lee and is willing to work out a sign and trade. Thats respect. If nothing, Nate is getting disrespected with only the QO but Nobody is offering anything else.

Its just business!!!!!

I hope Dlee can be a knick gong forward but the team gotta do what it gotta do.

i love it when players from 20 & 30 something win teams feel "disrespected" when their teams are mulling over options before re-signing them to over the market extensions.
