This is pure unadulterated BS. Andre Miller isnt taking 5mm a year here--it's just not happening.

We sck--that is a problem. If Grant Hill is taking LESS $ to stay in Pheonix--that is a bad sign.

I want to win for Christs sakes--I don't think there is a 2010 plan without a reasonable attempt to win games now.

Are you telling me we cant get a good deal with Mobley contract in this environment?

Would the Jazz owners really turn down 12mm free dollars for Boozer?

12mm for Boozer gives them huge leeway for a player they obviously do not want. 12 mm lets you get or keep players you want.

at the very worst make an offer of Mobley and Jordan Hill for Boozer.

take Boozer, let DLee walk and our cap situation doesn't change that much in 2010 and we have a legit max guy on the roster already.

i agree briggs.

WTF is Boozer gonna do? Seriously. The guy is a wimp and he can't even stay healthy. There is no point in bringing in this guy. This is just another lame ass move to make headlines ala Isiah Thomas.

Why would I want Boozer--because he should score 25 points here a night and grab 12 rebounds and shoot 56-57% He could be a guy who helps spread the floor. This is a one year rental to see what he has if we could even get in the game--what exactly is wrong with that? You CANNOT avg 21-12 on a Western conference playoff team being a shtty player kid. I want to try to win. Don't tell me Carlos Boozer isnt a huge upgrade from anything we have--and he WOULD help spread the floor. You have to show guys in this league we are trying. I think we can get in on this--thats a LOT of money for Utah--this guy is in a contract year--he's going to play his arse off. He's a tough physical presence. We have some additional length now with Darko and Hill--now we need a low post scorer who can help draw double teams.

You are not winning anything with the addition of Carlos Boozer. Do you understand? Just like we weren't winning with the additions of Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry.

Thanks.

Carlos Boozer has never in his averaged 25 and 12 and wont do so now. He is very injury prone and actually a soft player. I never said he's a ****ty player. Don't put words into my mouth buddy. I said he's just another guy who will earn big money and do nothing here. He's not making this team a playoff team with his addition. He simply isn't worth it. I'm sick of the starphuch. Enough is enough. Knicks aren't going to win a title this year. They aren't one piece away. Boozer does nothing but add 3-4 wins to the current record.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

boozer would put up those kinds of numbers in D'Antoni's offense.

i just hope Walsh is taking a look around at what is out there. the mobley contract is a huge incentive for some team. we should be able to get SOMETHING out of it. with grant hill turning us down it is time to get creative and realize that maybe just hoping the allure of NY wont be enough...

I'm sure teams would give far more enticing offers than ours of Mobley. I'd rather just re-sign Lee.

Exactly.

You know what...I.Thomas may have been a terrible GM but at least that mothersucker was trying to put something together.

We're going to sit around and endure another horrible season just to sign C.Bosh...If we're lucky.

No one wants to come play in NY. The magic and allure of playing in the big apple is gone. Come here just to pay ridiculous taxes, deal with wishy-washy fans and the good for nothing tabloids. yeah...where do I sign up?

Yeah! Let's show some love for the I-man! Isiah and Marbury put a great product out there, and provided us with some of the best entertainment we've had in years. Unfortunately, that entertainment was in the courtroom and on Mik'd up instead of on the basketball court, but still...

We can offer tham a unique money deal--if we can give them Mobley and the 3mm not only do they save 12.5mm$ but they also lose 3mm on the top side of the cap. That is a lot of enticement--throwing in pick 8 for an expiring player--you have to be kidding me. Boozer is a goner--that will be fact. 13mm to the Jazz is an enticing trade which would enable them to keep Millsap.

Miller was offered $6 million by teh Sixers and is pissed. Maybe he would consider coming here??? Drawbacks - he is 33 years old. He can't shoot the 3. He is lifetime 21% with only .7 attempts/game from 3 point. Does he fit into MDA's system??

we should give Miller the full MLE over 5yrs. what the hell is the difference? D'antoni and Walsh won't be here in 3 yrs, they should just do it.

problem with the mobley deal is that while it's insured, it's still on their cap. they want non-guaranteed deals that can be waived off the cap because they are too close to the luxury tax.
