Probably never. He's going back to Phoenix or going to Boston.

I don't really want Grant now anyway with the news that the cap is going to go down significantly.

I'm just concerned that the locker room is going to go unmonitored.
The looker room is not a problem. There are no players in the looker room that need to be monitored unless Duhon starts taking out 40's at before games and halftime.

Locker is a prblem. We don't have a presence. Someone that can at least lead by example. Who does that now? We don't even have a team capt.
Many of the players on this team are very hardworking and professional. During the Marbury's days yes we need someone to monitor the players. Right now I do not feel the players need to be monitored in the locker room.

Well, I'd just feel better knowing that the locker room is being monitored. All sorts of things can happen - remember when Nate & Malik were wrasslin' in the shower? What about the fungas that causes athlete's foot? Who is gonna keep that under control? Who will make sure the towels are clean? No, I'm certain the Knicks need a locker room monitor, and Grant Hill is just the guy to do the monitoring.

You want Grant Hill to be sniffing toes before games? Also that was Malik's fault for the shower incident. Remember Shaq already accused Malik of grabbing his "little man." As far as the towel situation, why are you trying to Morris Almond's job away and give it to Grant Hill? It's is bad enough that the kid will not get pt now you want to steal his towel boy position? BJ, I thought you were better than that.

No Morris Almond can be the locker room monitor. Not enough experience.

Thats a good question, but theres really no reason for him to go back to the suns...for what?? Boston i can understand a little, but the suns aren't winning any titles right now
Nash and amare situation is suspect, and your playing for a coach you enjoy playing for in NY with $ and a chance to play in the playoffs in NY

Right unless he's set up his home there, there's very little reason for him to go back other than $$$. They aren't really getting closer to contending then they were last year.

Its crazy, Phoenix is just as much a mess as we are! AMARE IS BEEFING AGAIN! At least we are moving in a positive direction

this isn't the first time the knicks wined and dined him. they did it back when he was a free agent for the first time. checketts and grunfeld put on a show before he signed with orlando.

Isiah took Dampier to the stake house to pick up a stake sub
and Swift to dance at the 40/40 club
At the end of the day the Knicks got no love

Watching Comcast Sports New England...
"Gary_Tanguay - A league source told me while the Knicks have increased their offer to Grant Hill the Celtics are working on signing Hill tonight."

Seem to think they are trying to drive home a deal tonight.

He did this last time. Said how he always wanted to play in NY, blah, blah, blah...then ended up signing in Orlando.

Thank God?

And if we do sign him I prefer the one year deal. If it's three years I sure hope it's not guaranteed past one year. Who knows when his luck of health is going to run out.

I do like adding him though as he could be a good mentor to the youth.

I'm not sure Phoenix is gonna match our offer...its a pretty good offer. There might be some other team out there though. If I'm Hill I'm serious about taking it, but I definitely would wait and see what else I'd get b/c our team sucks so much.

My guess is that it's between the Suns and Knicks. He lives in Phoenix, so they have the edge. But he's played for D'Antoni and I think he was sincere about liking New York. So if Phoenix doesn't come close enough to the Knicks offer, I think he'll come here.

Late word is that Boston is trying their hardest to convince him to sign with them tonight. I think they can only offer their 1.9M Bi-Annual exception.

Of course, signing Sheed and having a healthy big 3 again would of course be a draw for Grant Hill and the chance to win a ring. If he goes there...I wouldn't be upset...as he being here would also take minutes away from Gallo and Chandler and others.

So it's kind of a double edged sword. On the one hand you get him as a mentor and on the other hand he takes away playing time from those kids he's mentoring.

For one year...I like the idea of Hill...the Knicks need a culture change and a shot of professionalism...
I do not like the three year deal that was mentioned...we need all the space possible.

I expect to see him in green and white next year.

I've grown tired of this process... players pretending to have "serious interest" in signing with NYK for the minimum... then ultimately going elsewhere! this is total B.S.

I like Grant Hill and truly would like to see him in MSG playing for NYK; I think he still has game, and can be an asset. That said doing this to us TWICE would really piss me off!

WHY IS HE STALLING? AGREE TO PLAY FOR NYK NEXT SEASON!

Will he come for your "emotional rescue"?

I do not know Dolan... I mean Nalod. My emotions have lead to a sudden case of dyslexia. He could just be @$$ backwards as well!

What is nice about this is that it's almost a little teeny payback for how Phoenix is staying away from doing anything that could be positive for the Knicks / D'Antoni (I'm referring to past trade possibilities for Amare, etc.) If Phoenix does raise there offer now that just cuts into their cap more. If we sign Hill, he is really going to help us. A win-win situation for us.

Kidd was genuinely interested in NYC, because then he'd be close to his kids. Cuban however offered so much more money he could not pass it up plain and simple.

Hill however is different, NY has offered him more money but less chance of winning or postseason like with Boston or Phoenix.

If Hill wants to leave on a high note he will go to Boston and try for the ring. If he wants the playing time as a starter and not get over shadow by Pierce and Garnett
