You wont give Lee credit for 18/14 once he could walk because of MDA inflated system so you have to decrease everyone scoring so I thought 13 to 10 is fair enough

Toney Douglas - the skill set of Stephon with better values

Grant Hill - experience and height

The Mayor - you think last season was a breakout year? Stand back suckas

Jordan Hill - energy and activity from the 4

Darko - comeback player of the year

23 wins 2nd pick in the draft to Utah

I'm reading Alan Hahn's blog http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/blog/ (cool mofo I must say)

He mentions that Al Harrington is more like a 4 in D'antoni's system....

Now this guy is just a writer and a super bball fan like any of us(except he gets paid for it, fml)...but that is a big point....and since that thought is in my head...I wasnt to turn my back to David Lee all together now.

Al Harrington/Jordon Hill
Grant Hill???/Gallo
Curry/Darko
???/Duhon/Toney
Wilson/Hughes

If the Knicks can get a real pg then I'm ready to roll with that team.

I'm not bashing David, I'm just saying...Knicks save money and they still put a decent team on the floor. The point guard would set the table. Knicks just gotta get a good one...

What is the question? Al is a 4 in our system. Did you see the games last year?

Duhon is the point until further notice
the shooting guard and wing are interchangable in our system and the Mayor, maybe Grant Hill, and Hughes will man those spots
who knows what Douglas can do
The front court will be a rotation of Gallo, Al, Jeffries, Hill, and Darko

If Curry gives you anything, its a bonus.

That's potentially a 9 man rotation. If we can make a Jeffries trade then that will get us to the ideal 8 man rotation.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

If the knicks sign Grant Hill, it would seem that they have to make a trade in order to clear up the logjam at the SF position.

Does that mean Harrington gets shipped out? He can score and has an expiring contract soon.

Harrington and Chandler to Minnesota for Rubio and ??

i would want Hill starting if Harrington is gonna play the 4... we will need a rebounding shotblocker in the frontcourt, neither of which Curry is... who knows if Eddy Curry can even be productive at this point? i'd give him minutes off the bench w/Darko as a pair

Well Al started a few games at the 4 but not even a handful of games though. But he definately did play the majority of his minutes at the 4 during the game.

I'm just saying with the depth Donnie aquired and the hopes of Curry getting some run to showcase...Al Harrington probably should just own the starting slot at the start of games for 82 games.

Looking at Pheonix, D'antoni had Marion at the 4. Marion WAS an all nba rebounder and shot blocker though. Harrington is a good rebounder though and his strength and size is more than enough. His scoring skill is probably better than Marion.

Darko/Hill/Curry all could imitate Amare production on the pick and roll...that's why I don't care to have Lee around....the Knicks have extra depth to compensate and don't have to rely on Jared to play any minutes inside.

Wilson/Gallo/and maybe Grant Hill can duplicate the success the sf's had in pheonix....btw hughes, Wilson, toney...they knicks can imitate Pheonix backcourt....

Its a shame that David Lee has to be treated this way, but the Knicks seriously don't need him as much as Lee needs the Knicks...

One thing the Knicks need is a point guard...Duhon is not it

well thankfully i don't depend on the knicks for that sort of thing.

duhon was the main reason this team even sniffed .500 pre-all star break. he played out of his mind. he completely broke down and tailed off at the end of the season, but it was the most minutes he'd ever played in his career. if he's ready to play more minutes this year he'll be fine.
