Bibby is a good PG but he will require a longterm contract to sign at more than MLE dollars... because of those reasons & because Donnie is targetting 2010 before he signs any big names, i pass.

2010 is coming but the Knicks still need a point guard...there arent any big time point guards available next year aside from Nash but according to your rule Nash is off limits too.

So what do we do?

The alternative is be isiah thomas and fill our cap up with the full MLE signing and then recycle our ~50M in expirings, trade all our draft picks and ship out all the kids and pray somehow all those players return in such transactions actually play well together. Then when they don't we'll be targeting 2014 as the next year that 145M of contracts come off the books so we can rebuild.

No thanks.....this summer is about our future of 2010 and beyond it is not about 2009 and trying to make the playoffs this season and trying to lower the value of Utah's pick.

Just say no to ideas like Bibby which would then lead to having to scrap the 2010 FA plan and then recycle our expirings back into players nobody wants.

Bibby can't really create. He's not half the PG Nash or Kidd is. He's a smart player and a good shooter and a clutch shooter, but the Hawks are better off with Crawford then Bibby IMO.

Nash and Rubio is still everyone's favorite wet dream....Nash isn't getting released and Pheonix isn't trading him to NY so forget it. Knicks could sign Nash in 2010 but wouldn't it still cut into getting 2 big free agents???

I can't stress enough how important it is to get a real pg in here to run this team this season. We can't roll with Duhon as the starter. Gotta get a proven vet that can legitimately run a team or a kid with infinate energy, that can run and jump over everyone...jerryl bayless
