Gortat is a backup C. Houston will need scoring and inside scoring too.

No he doesn't and he is way better than fatso and going to command half his salary.

LOL...cmon duke, who you tryin to kid? Gortat averaged like 4 pts. and 4 boards a game ---he's 25 and was one of the last picks in the second round. Classic example of people being bamboozled over a guy the looks good in a couple minutes of action in the playoffs. Homeboy is just not talented.

Get Eddy right and he is an elite scorer for a big man, fat ass or not.

Gortat is better than a 4/4 if he get some minutes, but the reality of a player like Curry is that he can be a 20 pt scorer and he really doesn't know how to play effective basketball yet. He's done it....he has the ability. He has the ability to produce in spite of himself. There has got to be some way to make him a useful piece on the NBA.

If there is a chance this rumor is true nothing should stop it from happening unless Houston wants more back.....

I just can't see such a well run organisation like Houston taking such a big gamble on Curry. If he was an expiring then maybe, but with 2 years left there is no chance.

As a Knick Fan, I think we can still dream, right? Great Idea.

I think the Rockets are interested in Curry. This guy needs to be taught how to play basketball and Houston has the best in Hakeem to teach him how to play basketball. His career would take off in the right direction under the tutelage of Hakeem. This trade is a wash for both team if not better for Houston. We all know that T-Mac is finished.

I think that's the wet dream of this entire fan-base but not sure it's going to happen. Knicks will give him away for free to ANY team.

Why does Houston forgo being a major player in 2010 by trading for a useless sloth such as Curry?

Insurance is likely going to end up paying for most of McGrady's deal this year anyway. McGrady is likely to rot on the bench like Marbury did in NY.

Lets see what happens. This is a very possible deal. The reason I say this is because rockets seem to perform well when Yao is out. Curry can be vital to the Rockets because they do play a slow down type of game. He would help that team out. They need to buy time until Yao is back maybe a year or more but even when he comes back they will probably monitor his minutes.

This deal is very possible. Rockets can't throw in the towel because attendance is vital to them and to signify a rebuilding effort won't cut it for them. They have to try and win especially after making the Lakers work even without yao.

rockets are going to blow it up, especially if you believe battier + brooks for rubio. if they trade for curry, then the gm deserves to be fired. curry hasn't played in 1 year...which gm is going to trade for him? maybe he will enroll at FIU.

They want to get rid of Sleepy Eye and they need a center that is a post presence. That is their whole game. Half court basketball. They are also a very frugal organization. Send them Eddy with Mobley's contract for TMac and every body is happy. They get their center and savings and we rid another contract for the 2010 plan.
