$6 million a year, right? I would still say no. 1 year deal with a team option for a 2nd year. I'd only give him a guaranteed 2nd year if we trade Jeffries.

No, I meant 6 mil total. There were people in the other thread saying they wouldn't even sign him to the LLE or use any of the MLE on him. So I picked $2 mil annually

I'm sure he'd laugh at us. He's more likely to take the MLE from a contending team than to sign with us. I was just stating what happened.

I think if he signs for that contract Chandler is gone in a package with Curry or Jeffries. Kidd might have a big impact on the team. He does have Messier like leadership qualities and I think D' needs a player that leads, and communicates for him.

This is Alan Hahns blog....

He has some DW and MD quotes....sounds like those guys believe he can still lead and produce big time....I think if Kidd really want to play in NYC it will happen....

Donnie and D'antoni could have dropped the plan in Kidds lap...Kidd could have the influence to lure players. The Knicks have the money to not only get elite players but the exact players Kidd thinks can fit in as well.....

The end result is history......nobody will remember when Kobe beat the lowly Magic...or the Spurs or who ever....they will remember the time the Knicks ran the table and finally got that ring....

Yo with a world class point guard like Kidd playing....he can tell you who is missing out on the floor....what's lacking....I think D'antoni and Kidd share the same basketball mind....Donnie as well....this could get very interesting.

True, but Kidd has made a lot of money and could still make a lot of money even with a lesser offer from NY. If he really wants to be back here, he can definitely make it happen. How much is Dallas gonna want to offer him anyway?

Players rarely take less money. Kidd will be no exception, personally in think he is using the Knicks to up Dallas's offer.
