maybe but is that team the ideal setting for someone like Lebron or Wade to want to come to? i think a team w/a pass first mentality PG like Rubio here for the longterm would be a much more attractive setting myself... Duhon is only a stopgap solution... having the PG position in flux the year you're looking to attract a bigname scorer isn't the most ideal situation to have IMO, unless that player you're going after is a PG, which Lebron & Wade aren't.

no but he doesn't have contract issues to worry about & being taken #1 in the draft was his top priority... LA isn't exactly a bad market to play in either btw... u seriously wanna compare LA to MIN? gimme a break.

As stated before Lebron went to the finals with a lot less talent. He handles the ball more than any guard on the Cavs. He is a point forward. Not a problem in my book. Lebron need shooters not someone to get him the ball.

LOL... so because Blake went to school at OKL & in your eyes he doesn't care about the metro life, you're assuming that Rubio wouldn't mind playing in Minnesota in sub zero freezing temps for a good part of the year out in the boonies? to me the kid looks like someone w/a lively personality & someone who embraces the spotlight... he won't get much of that in MIN, i can tell u that right now.

LOL, do you realize that you belittle my preception but then past your own. We don't know either but we may believe either. Both said they would love to play for the team that drafted them so that is a wash. Rubio looks like a kid happy to be in America period. Griffin looks like a guy happy to be in the league. I don't see much beyond that. BTW, Minny is not a laid back city. It has a nice metro scene.

where did i belittle ur preception? i'm questioning it... i don't see how u can make the assumption about 1 player just because you have an assumption for another that seems to make sense to you... they are completely different people from completely different backgrounds, & the contract situation w/Rubio puts him into a completely different situation as well... for u to just disregard all these factors is being narrow scoped in your vision if u ask me.

Rubio stated right before the draft that is buyout is not an issue anymore. I guess they worked something out. He said he will be in the NBA this season.

my thinking is that he said that because he may know he's coming to NY... how is he going to manage a buyout playing in MIN in a dead market making rookie salary dollars? does that make sense to you?

there's no point in arguing this anymore, we'll just have to wait & see... i don't see any other explanation for why MIN would take both Rubio & Flynn tho... that's just moronic... if Rubio was the guy MIN wanted they wouldn't have taken Flynn, they would have taken someone like Derozan or Hill, guys that can run the floor & excel in an uptempo style.
