not necessarily, Hill is a great complement to Lee's game, but it gives the Knicks some leverage in the contract negotiations at the very least... i do think he's gonna be traded tho probably, hopefully for a talented young SG or a high pick in next year's draft.

I would have preferred Terrence Williams but I guess this team had nothing up front. I just hope this isn't another Channing Frye style disappointment

Lee can play for the QO for all I care. I'm not worried about it

Wouldn't the wise move be to give Lee and Nate QOs and push for the playoffs and reload in 2010?

Someone who knows the salary cap better than I do...

Say we get Lee/Nate to take the QO this year.

Would that allow us in 2010 to sign 2 Max FA's and THEN go over the cap to resign Lee/Nate to longterm deals?

i don't think u can use the Bird Exception rule to go over the cap to sign your own FA's if you already have cap space.

yes... we can sign 2 superstars to max contracts then sign Lee and NAte but why would you want either of them. we lose 50 with them, we might as well lose 50 without them..

Buzzmaster: Jordan Hill is here!

Brady (Nebraska): What will your first purchase be??

Jordan Hill: I am going to take care of the people that took care of me first. Then do what I have to do after.

Ryne (Illinois): Jordan who are most excited to play agaisnt in the NBA?

Jordan Hill: I just want to play against NBA playes. All of them. I want to have a chance and come out and be on an NBA team. I'm excited to play against everyone.

ian (Dallas): Hey Jordan were you named after MJ?

Jordan Hill: I don't think so. Me and my brother and my sister, we all have the same initials. I was the youngest so they had to find a name with a J in it.

Kevin (San Diego): How long until you think your former teamate Chase gets picked?

Jordan Hill: Hopefully it will be in the first round. He's a good player and I feel he earned it to be in the first round. He's one of the best overall players in the draft. I hope he makes it.

Cody (Michigan): Jordan, did you expect to be drafted by the Knicks? Also I've been hyping you up since your Arizona days as the best PF/C in the draft. You better come thru! lol

Jordan Hill: I was told that the Knicks were looking at me and Curry. When he was chosen by Golden State I knew there was a chance I could be picked by the Knicks.

Steve (Fl): Jordan, How does it feel to play in NY?

Jordan Hill: It's a good feeling. It's a good fit for me. An up tempo team. I feel like I can make an impact in the game. It's a good fit for me.

greg (sacramento): Jordan have you played in the world famous GARDEN?

Jordan Hill: Yeah, I played my freshman year against Louisville. We won the game.

Jordan Hill: I'm glad to be here. I'll try my hardest to go win games. I'll be working hard and hopefully you'll be behind me 100%.

Buzzmaster: Thanks Jordan!

Buzzmaster: Jrue Holliday is next!

A team's UFA's create what's called a "cap hold" against that team's salary cap. That number is decided by some formula based on some percentage or something. In order to have their maximum cap space, the Knicks will have to renounce the Bird Rights for their UFA's which would release their "cap holds". That's what the Clips did with Elton Brand to make room to sign Baron Davis. Then Brand ditched them because they couldn't outbid Philly.

Love the pick. Could be Amare like if he develops physically. He is a monster hitting the boards already and is a great athlete for a frontcourt man. I think his floor is Chris Wilcox, but he has very nice potential.

Also like the Douglas pick. He can really fill it up when he's on (he's streaky), and he led Florida St. through some big wins with his hot hand. He also can guard opposing pts. A 2 way sixth man guard.

Nice value tonight for the Knickerbockers.

You'd have to renounce the rights to your own FA's to clear the cap space to sign someone in the first place.

Hill can be tremendous as a mid-range threat/finisher on the pick and roll. The need is still there for a point guard who can play the 2 man game.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

You don't think Douglas will be able to do that?

D'Antoni is on drugs.

Amare was a raw teenager with unbelievable speed and athleticism for a big man with a ton of room to grow as a player.

Hill is at his ceiling. he's a more athletic KT. this is like Zeke's Frye is Wallace sales job.

Mike needs Nash more than ever to apply enough window dressing for MDA to make it thru two more years
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!
