also takes away any extension they have to give harris...give them super duper cap space in 2010.

so lebron can play with jay-z, rubio, and bosh...

Why would the Nets do that? That's flat out silly in my most humble of opinions.

I don't understand this trade business wise either, maybe I'm missing something. Doesn't winning outweigh ticket sales in the NY/NJ metro area ?

I'm not saying they can't win with Rubio. Bust Harris is pretty damn talented.

not for the nets. they didn't sell out finals games.

I suppose that's a good point. It's still risky though. If Rubio busts, then you lose not only a good player, but the market as well.

That is still one of the most embarrassing sporting moments.

The IZOD Center sucks. Only way I go there is with really legit seats and a good opponent.

NEW YORK -- Developer Bruce Ratner says he is ready to break ground on a Brooklyn arena for the New Jersey Nets this year after an appeals court struck down a challenge to his Atlantic Yards project.

Ratner says he plans to begin building the $800 million arena this year after issuing bonds to finance the project this fall

Devin Harris is signed for the next 4 years on a bargain basement contract for a player of his caliber. His annual salary for the next 4 years doesn't exceed 10M(7M, 8M, 9M, 9M). There is no need for extending him or making this move for salary cap purposes.

I just looked at the proposal again.

No way Minny trades 5 and 6 for Harris.

Wayyy too much.

In most drafts, yes... in this draft, no

That's a lame deal all around for the nets, who are listening to offers for vince carter. I'm sure what vet will be there for rubio to learn from. Where's your scorer

We've already had a Harris trade rumor early this month and the Nets vehemently denied being interested in moving him. We know things in the NBA can change ASAP but IMO this is a bullshyt rumor just to keep people interested and guessing.
