RJ on the Knicks contract wise probably eliminates them from LBJ contention. So no, I don't make that trade.

Whatever smarty...I'm just stating the value you could get for an RJ....Bucks coulda gotten better value.

They're are some good veteran FA they can sigh for about a million dollars or they can draft a big or bring some player overseas. They probably got some signing deal going on already. Spurs, are one methodical, calculating team. Haha, they might bring back Jackie "Moses Malone" Butler.

FYI, some of this year's FA bigs:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-09-10

Glen Davis
Leon Powe
Mikki Moore
Kwame Brown
Antonio McDyess
Rasheed Wallace
Francisco Elson (P)
Melvin Ely
Sean Marks
Chris Wilcox
Shawn Marion
Carlos Boozer (P)

yeah, but can you pare down that list to those players would sign for small $?

It leaves you with Melvin Ely, Wilcox and a retired Charles Oakley.

Uhh... this is the best the Bucks could get for RJ? Not even an young player?

i was thinking the same. they should at least get a 2nd rounder or maybe one of those 1st round picks that the Spurs made years ago.

This is a bull**** trade...can't explain how the hell this makes any sense what so ever....for RJ they should have gotten the 1st and second rounder in this deal.

Now as far as the Bucks and Charlie V...they didn't even wanna start him or run any offense through him...if they re-sign him I will be shocked. To hell with that stupid ass franchise....one less team to worry about.

I agree on the last part of your post, but give me a break RJ is no better then JR smith and niether is worth players and picks.

more to come via charlie v's twitter:
I rarely use twitter since I don't find it at all useful. Just use it at least twice a month to follow players from the NBA. So I was twittering Charlie V about how he said" wait till thursday, many many trades yet to come"

So I asked him about it. He privately msged me and said how I'm from Toronto and how a majority of his followers, if not all are from Toronto. He just said the Bucks isn't done yet in terms of trades this month. He also suspects that this could be the draft in many years where where we see the most trades during/before D-day (draft day).

I think the Cavs need to first be focused on bringing in an inside scoring presence. Redd is good, but they can make do with some more spot up type shooters (and they already have a couple of good ones).

kind of agree with VDesai. How does Redd put CLE over the hump? 3 guard mix of Mo Will, DWest and Redd? Does that really help?

Cavs need a solid big man who draws double's, there's really no other way to put it.

There is the possibility that Bowen will be waived to save $. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back with the Spurs.

I just came here to put my 2 cents in... I didn't see this thread earlier..

This is what I feel:

Spurs got a steal, most noble franchise of the last 20 years-- who ever is running the show there is a master, a master!!

This RJ deal will put them OVER THE TOP next season; look for them to contend again.

RJ is a steal a steal at this price, it's like for a bag of chips and a dr. pepper they got him.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.
