I still don't get why the rockets would want to trade Yao? I mean I know it says the Cavs want him, but why are the Rockets going to give him up?
Well after towards the end of the season. The talk was that the team didn't need McGrady and in the playoffs the talk was growing to that the team plays better with Yao off the court. The fact that the Rockets did so well in the Laker series only fueled it. I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone in Houston who truly believes Yao can stay healthy for a season and a deep playoff run. Besides he reached the Knicks/Ewing issue. Half court ball control vs. fast break basketball. You can't continue to go into the year not knowing whether you can count on your franchise player to be there when the team needs him the most. Truth be told if you compare McGrady time vs. Yao since McGrady was traded, Ming actually only played more than a handful more games than McGrady and this past season was when he caught and past McGrady. I wouldn't trust either one of those guys to be there at the season end.
