I think these writers really do get their info from the forums and places like twitter and facebook....I mean thats what I would do...debate on end with regular folk and then write a story if it makes sense....maybe try to get a "source" to make a comment out of context and bam...

Yeah... those sites, especially pay sites, want content that people are going to talk about so why not try to give the "rumor" the messageboarders are discussing validity?

I cannot believe insider is still active... you can get all the content you want by going to news.google.com or via RSS. I know you got the magazine free with subscription, but ESPN the mag sucks

Eddy Curry would be a great backup and insurance policy for Yao. He would also be a good on the floor match with the rugged, workman like Power forwards the Rockets got.

Hughes/Curry + T-Mac/filler

Any Tmac deal with HOU starts with offering them ending contracts and/or rookie wage scale players.

They're not trading Tmac for the rubbish we want to rid ourselves of.

I tell you what they are buying, a washed up primadonna in T-Mac who is hindering their chances of moving forward.

And people keep acting like everybody is New York. Paying 23 million dollars for a complete detriment is not in their plans. And trust, people are not lining up around the corner to pitch offers for him.

Knee and shoulder surgeries are expected to cause Tracy McGrady to miss the first month of the 2009-10 NBA season, according to the New York Post.

If TMac can't take people off the dribble, he is not worth the effort. I'd take him in a straight up trade if there was some other incentive, like dropping 2010 salary. They don't have a draft pick... not sure what else they have to offer on this.

As another thought, how is McGrady going to work within MikeD's system if he can't work with the team in pre-season. Even if he was ready to play after the first 30 games, how many more games until he is in running shape to play in this system. I'd like to have our roster set and the rotation in place by game 1. If we can dump salary during the season, that's a good reason to mess with the roster, but other than that, 2009 should be used to help establish a culture of winning.

The Knicks know that McGrady will miss the first 20 games, which is why they're inquiring about his availability. Thinking he can be had with the right mix of talent and expirings.
