doesn't matter what player they acquire if they don't hire an assistant to design a better offensive philosophy

I think Cavs should target Antawn Jamison.

They should look at Jamal Crawford as well. Any dude that can score and create their own shot. Adding that one guy changes the whole dynamic....of course they need a coach that will call a play other than "give it to Lebron"

I think Crawford would be a perfect player in the play offs- off the bench or as a third option - of course, we may never know what Crawford will do in the play offs.

To some degree, this finals this year was about a batter between a big man and lethal perimeter player - and the perimeter player won.

You give Lebron a legitimate second-man, and he'll figure out what to do with it. He's that good.

Its not Lebrons job to figure out anything. His Job is to play the game....THE COACH has to figure out a way to to make it work....that's where Clevland Fails cuz you can't just give Lebron the ball and let him do magic. Only Jesus can turn water into wine. The GM is an idiot also cuz how many little guards and power fwds/ctrs do you need?

Anybody read that Delonte West is not gonna be included in any trades? That's crazy...they need to fire the coach of the year and get Lebron a scottie pippen...even a dude like Mike Miller is good enough....someone to shoot and create with size from the perimeter.

Mike Miller is not the answer in my opinion.

They're missing a Derek Fisher, a Robert Horry or a James posey kind of threat. When I think of those guys, I think about execution when it is needed most. These guys have that championship swagger, something CLE desperately needs.

They need that player who will make plays in the 4th quarter.

I hope Shaq goes to Cleveland. He can mess up a good team very easily.

What is shaqs new nickname gonna be?

Bring in Steph Jax, Shaq and Marbury and maybe Lebron won't wait for the season to end before leaving.

wait...how does a team that's won 60+ games overrated? the team was in the finals 2 years ago...and lost in the ECF's two years in a row...that's now considered garbage or overrated? how many franchises have done that in their entire existence? while they may not have the 1 piece to make them champions, they are legitimate contenders.

i agree, u can't call them overrated... Lebron is a part of their team & they're built around Lebron... u can't take him outta the picture & judge the rest of the puzzle w/o the main piece... that's like judging the '94 Knicks w/o Patrick Ewing.

I think they brought wally into be that wing man, yet they kept putting mo and west in at the same time then having labron bring the ball up. When both your wing men are 6 1" that's a mismatch all day that's not in your favor. I agree with enyspree, labron doesn't have adequate help, and he dominates the ball way to much. He reminds me of the early kobe. As good as he is he still worrys about posting triple doubles and putting up big numbers. Shaqs not going to help much, I mean let's face it he's not nearly the same player he was as a laker or heat.

The cavs should sign ron artest in the offseason. They could use a defender like him to take some pressure off lebron on the defensive end all game, and those two will cause match up problems against other teams because they're too big. Probably cheap enough for the cavs and imagine how much fun they would be to watch...

Lebron totally reminds me of early Kobe and MJ - sure he gets more assists but in the playoffs we all saw that it was all about him. Now maybe he doesnt have a great supporting cast, but I didnt see him creating much for them. I think right now Lebron himself is overrated. He is not the king of anything outside of Cleveland and he just spent the last week witnessing the best player in basketball get his 4th championship. He may be a little more mature than Kobe was at his age but he still has some things to work on and the media hype around him is ridiculous - he was practically anointed the greatest player ever before getting out of high school.

so you are saying he needs better role players? watching the finals....roles players weren't the problem. The problem was the Let LEbron do his thing offense. They need to get him some offensive help....who is Clevlands second option??? There is no second option! Get Lebron a sidekick and everything falls into place...Vince Carter, Craw, Stephan Jax and Rip Hamilton all stick out to me.

LOL, let Danny ferry go get old ass Snaq O Meal like thats going to do anything. Only thing it will do is give Kobe one more reason to son the hell out of the Cavs.

Agree with MS, Cleveland is garbage and Bron knows this. As currently constituted our squad is superior to his supporting cast, let alone what additions we're going to make.

-While plenty of media outlets are speculating about a potential deal between Cleveland and Phoenix, we’ve heard some talk of a possible trade between Cleveland and Washington actually. The deal would essentially be a cost-cutting move for the Wizards, sending Antawn Jamison and filler (Mike James) to the Cavs for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. Wallace seems likely to retire, and Pavlovic is on a non-guaranteed contract for next season. It’s not clear whether the Wizards would need to surrender the #5 pick. Jamison is attractive to the Cavs since he’s exactly the type of combo forward they were missing to match up with Orlando’s Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu

They could have done that during the trade deadline, so something is up. Whether the Cavs dont believe in Antwon, or the Wiz dont want to do it.

Or the Cavs just lost to the Magic and they are facing the reality that Lebron may bolt if they dont get him a sidekick asap.

True, they are a little more desperate, but the Cavs are up against it. Its all about keeping Lebron, and grabbing jamison at the deadline might have made the difference in a championship. Now there is a firm layer of dysfunction on top of the Cavs.

So they pass on jamison, get smoked by Orlando, and now they have to head into the offseason with all this dogma, drama, and innuendo. They will enter next season with even more pressure, and who knows what could happen. We'll see.

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but I fail to understand what trading for the Big Retirement Tour is going to accomplish other than clearing cap space.

IF Shaq went to Cleveland they'd be idiots to have him run hard during the regular season. They should make up an injury and only let him play the last 30 games so he can get a rhythm going with that team. This way he will be fresh and primed for the playoffs when they need him most.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
