I didn't think Rubio was impressive in the Olympics when he played against the USA team. As a matter of fact I don't even think he scored in double digits. I have seen Carlos Arroyo play better in the Olympics than Rubio against the USA team. That being said, we really don't know how Rubio will play after his injury. If a team is looking for a point guard to run the show then Rubio is going to be a good choice. However, if a team is looking for a scoring point guard that can pass then guys like Flynn and Jenning would be a better pick.

no he didn't put up awesome numbers but he showed himself well, especially for such a young kid... 8 pts. 3 assists & 3 steals in 18 minutes the first game they played where USA spanked Spain... he wasn't hitting his shot, only went 1 for 4 from the field, but he did get to the FT line & hit 5 of 6 in his short stint & hit the only 3 pointer he attempted... those stats are just 1 made shot short of what Deron Williams put up that game & no one's gonna question that guy's talent... the lone bad stat was the 4 turnovers he committed, but tell me what 17 yo kid going up against Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, D Wade & Kobe wouldn't? btw, Kobe & Lebron also both made 4 turnovers that game & Jason Kidd only scored 2 pts, so stats don't really tell the whole story of a guy's ability... i thought Rubio made a nice account of himself during the entire Olympics personally.

Dude, I wouldn't touch Harden with a 1000000ft pole with the way he performed down the stretch. I'm sorry but that matters to me.

and i ask a question, you seem pretty high on rubio. why are you high on the knicks drafting rubio but not harden who's shown he can score very well in college?

speaking for myself, Rubio looked impressive going up against elite NBA level competition in the Olympics at the age of 17... Harden disappeared for his team when they needed him most in the biggest games they played last year... i agree w/nyk, i wouldn't touch this guy with our pick.

Yup.

good chance Harden is going 3rd to be Durant's Robin.

I think he avg's 13-15 ppg this season and is a ROY candidate.

He had some problems dribbling right when shown light pressure.

They say that about Derozon too. I don't think anybody has a clue about 3-8 right now. We don't even totally know if the Knicks sights are set on Curry, odd comments made by D'Antoni put aside.

I think MDA was being sarcastic and truthful when he said we're not picking curry cause of Houston. Curry doesn't seem like the kind of guy 2 people (he and Walsh) whose teams competed so heavily in the 90's would choose

don't see how derozan avg's double figures this season. doubt a coach lets him shoot that much this year

I know he was being sarcastic, but it was a curious thing to joke around about regardless. It's a comment that screams "I love you Curry", by D'Antoni. The thing is, he has to get Walsh to agree.

not a chance he'll put up those kindsa #'s if he's drafted by OKL... Durant & Westbrook will be the 1-2 punch on that team & Green will be getting his as well, & Krstic will be seeing touches too, Harden would be lucky to average 9 ppg in his rookie season on that team

I think Durant is a SG, not a SF. I think Thabeet would be a better fit than Harden. But I think Thabeet will be a bust.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

guess it depends on how one views Green. I think Harden could come in and take shots from him.

green is too erratic to be considered the undisputed 3rd option

hard to imagine a 22 yo kid who put up 17 & 7 last year is gonna have his shots taken away from him by Harden, but i guess anything's possible.

he had the misfortune of being drafted under Carlesimo's strange vision of him at 3 and KD at 2. Now he is playing the 4 and OKC is getting nowhere as long that happens.

IMO he's either a 6th man or trade bait at this point.

I think harden would be a great fit with the thunder - you can't ignore that he put up 20 6 and 4 in the pac-10. He reminds me of brandon roy a little bit...his unselfishness will mesh well with a guy like durant, who will take a lot of shots.

he's more like a less athletic poor man's OJ Mayo if u ask me... but we'll see... scouts are seemingly high on him from what i've been reading... Brandon Roy, i don't really see it personally.
