Curry & KMart don't really make sense in the same backcourt whereas Evans or Holliday do.

In general response to this thread overall:
Is this not his third workout? How many workouts do these guys do? I don't think it means anything more than he's already showcased his talents and those teams interested in him have seen him. No reason to keep working out for more if that's the case. Remember, while a specific team may work out a player scouts from other teams are welcome to come watch. It makes it easier on the players. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!

I think MDA and Walsh are salivating over adding another Shooter/ballhandler like Curry. He's the perfect guy for this team. Good height for a PG and great shooting. For other teams tho he's attractive, it's not always what they want in a PG. Washington doesn't need another scorer on the perimeter and a guy that needs the ball in his hands! They have enough to worry about just dealing with the guys they've got not sharing the ball. They have low assist numbers every year. Wash. was 25th this season in asts., 27th the yr before that!!! They just don't share the ball. I think they need a pure point, not a combo guy like Curry, that you want taking shots as well as setting up others. In fact maybe they should try to take Duhon off our hands. He doesn't really want to shoot the ball anyway. LOL.

Posted by Cosmic: I agree with you. Plus, if he really wanted to be a Knick, why work out for the Wiz who pick 5? |

Maybe the Wiz are going to pick Curry at 5 and then we are going to work out a trade for David Lee and the 8th pick for Curry and McGee (on draft night but not to be consummated till a later date) and he's working out for the Wiz just to make this all look copacetic

Posted by Uptown:Posted by Cosmic: why wouldn't he try to improve his draft positioning if he could? it's smart business... working out for other teams that pick ahead of the Knicks could be a precursor to those teams moving down to take him at #8 also... u never know what's gonna happen, but i think he's got a guarantee that he'll go at the latest #8 from Donnie Walsh personally. Posted by nyk4ever: that could be it too... or maybe he's just trying to make the Knicks nervous into thinking their guy may not be there at #8 & stir them to action to move up & take him higher? that would increase his rookie scale salary, there's really nothing for him to lose by working out for other teams picking ahead of the Knicks. I think I read after that report that he was gonna work out for the T-Wolves.

I think if the Knicks some how acquire the fifth pick they need to be open minded about who is available. One mock that I saw today had Thabeet dropping back and another had Harden available at 5. I think if you have the chance to draft one of those guys you have to go for it. There is the potential for a very talented player to be available so I hope that there is not such a commitment to a particular player like the Balk and Gallo drafts.

Curry has expressed a desire to play for the Knicks in Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo motion offense. "Comparing how I played in college and how it translates to the NBA, this is the system to be in," he said. "D'Antoni had Steve Nash, so he knows how to develop a point guard. Why not want to go here?" http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-spknix1312875035jun12,0,3359694.story?track=rss Curry is clueless. PASS! If Curry really wants to learn to play pg on the NBA level and still stay at the top of the lottery then playing for Flip or Nelly should be his goal. I don't see anything that wrong with what he said. D'Antoni's system was tailor made for Nash and made him MVP x2. He was nowhere near that MVP level in Dallas.
Sure, Nash was developed by the time he got to Phoenix, but he definitely took it to another level - I wouldn't say that makes his statement clueless. Might as well just call him delusional and be done with it. Besides, this is the time of year draft picks look to make compliments whenever possible towards potential teams. Posted by EwingsGlass:Posted by TMS: He's still going to workout for Washington apparently. I think he's extremely confident about going in that top 10 or so and he definitely either wants to play for Charlotte or the Knicks. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Nash never had the opportunity under Nellie to shoulder so much of the team. Then there was the presence of Dirk to boot. Funny thing once they seperated from each other they both went on to win MVP's.
Bottom line Nash knew how to play pg at an all-star level long before he met MDA. Duhon learned how to be serviceable on an NBA level under Skiles. Curry is looking to learn how to play pg period. What pg has D'antoni actually raised? the stop underrating David Lee movement
