Agree with me? All I wanted was a good argument on why "he's a scrub". You never really provided one until now and even then it's not really that sufficient but okay. You can have any opinion you have on a player. You're the one getting defensive. I don't have a "hardon" for him. All I said was that I like him as a defensive player. You obviously do not for whatever reason. It's all good.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Whether Gortat is the answer or not...the knicks desperately need an actual center. They'll never win a playoff game with the way teams just walk down the lane and dunk on us.

JJF, i totally agree we need a viable starting C that can block shots & defend the paint... i would look to trade for someone like Camby perhaps using Mobley's contract as an option way before i look to signing bench players like Gortat... Camby could make an appreciable difference on this team... Gortat won't.

He's not like Jeffries at all. He's a much better rebounder and shot blocker than Jeffries.

Personally I want nothing to do with Camby at this point in his career. You couldn't rely on him when he was 28, so you definitely can't rely on him now.

u can have 12 Gortat's on the team & they wouldn't add up to even close to the impact that 1 Camby can have by himself even at his age... i realize he's not the most reliable option but we're not exactly in any position to be picky & choosy over what elite C's we can bring in here... if the goal is to find a suitable stopgap w/expirings, which i think is Donnie's plan judging from his acquisitions of guys like Harrington, Hughes, Fugazy, etc., then Camby seems to fit the bill.

they're very similar in that both are scrubs that will only give u about 12-15 minutes of effective play off the bench... any more than that & they are a liability.

I agree about Jefferies being a liability past 12-15 minutes, but the same can't be said for Gortat. He is only in his second season, we don't know what he is fully capable of yet.

Gortat's put up some good games w/extended run, i'll give u that... he's also put up even more very mundane statlines when he's played over 20 minutes... the thing w/these bench players is that they're not consistent... Jefferies can put up double doubles too if given 30+ minutes a night some nights, & then others he'll come out on the court & stink it up like he usually does... i think Gortat's an upgrade over Jefferies but not worth a full MLE contract or anywhere close to it... just MHO... if the Knicks end up signing him hopefully he will prove me wrong.
