I have a pretty good idea about Tyler game and he cant duplicate what David has done in the pros. He is a better face up shooter but Roy did little to develop him into a four man. He would be a great addition like a Oberta or Scola but he will struggle if they ask him to do too much

Let's not ignore the fact that Starbury wants to stay with Boston. With a full training camp and pre-season, he will make them formidable!

Scola is a good comp, but scola and Lee are far more fluid than Hansbro!

HansBro has a decent shot but its delivery not quick.

This is a weak draft. Every draft gets hyped up as it goes along.

Hansbr is not going to get much better. He is an animal and I'd compare him to Bobby Hurley: great college player with awards and championships, has a great motor, but the NBA is a differnt animal. I would have liked to seen Hurley with a few more years under his belt before he had his accident, but we'll never know.

This kid is not David Lee!

Blair. I was impressed with his performance against Villanova. He's much more of a banger.

The only thing I will say is that in the NBA he's not going to get too many cupcakes like he did against Villanova. Every team has bangers in the NBA and many of them are alot taller than 6'6

I think Hansbrough will be better, but I honestly think it depends on what team each goes to. If Blair ends up with a team like the Pistons where they pride themselves on defense, I think he'll have a solid career there. I think if Hansbrough ends up with a team like the Knicks he has the skills to excel in that uptempo offense. I think both will be niche players though.

I think Hansbrough has a place in the nba, but not an important place. It's hard to compare him to Lee. He doesn't rebound, pass or run the floor as well as Lee. But he does have a better back to the basket game and he does play better defense than Lee. Hansbrough may start on a team that is weak at pf or be a good backup. He's projected to go late in the first round and that's where he should go.

i'd rather have Blair over Hansbrough also, but if we're drafting a big late in the 1st round & Mullens is off the board, i would take Taj... he can be our Chris Anderson hustle player off the bench & make plays for us on the defensive end... he's got that type of passion in his game & the fans of NY always love a lunch pale type player, & he definitely fits the bill.

Hansbrough is about the same size as David Lee. I think he'll end up being a huge steal.

Was just going to post the same thing.

I wouldn't mind getting a pick in the late teens to add him. I seriously think he gives you the same thing that Lee gives you.

How you figured. He isn't a finisher around the rim, very slow and unathletic. He is a crafty low post scorer that likes to play with his back to basket unlike Lee who rather play facing the rim. I would say Hansborough is less athletic version of Kevin Love without the defense. He will not be as a good of rebounder as Lee and Love because he has a stiff body.

I did not think that Hansbrough looked slow in the combine, and his athleticism actually surprised me a bit. Love is more fluid, but hardly athletic, and his defense seemed limited to me- only effective because he has that big lower body for work in the post. People are underrating Hansbrough- I think he is a competitor and a winner, despite his limitations as a player, and he will find a place to contribute on any team and become a valuable rotational player, and maybe even a dependable but unspectacular starter giving you 14PPG and 9RPG.

I would put Gibson a bit higher than Hansbrough on my want list because I think he can play better D. I don't compare him to the Davis boys from the Pacers, but he might be a Rodman type of player- who can play defensively at a number of positions- I remember his block against Harden in a big game- showed nice lateral movement against a smaller player, and his measurements tell me that he could play center, also, in some circumstances.

If we could somehow pick up Minnesota's 18th in this draft, I think we would a chance to pick either of these guys and be very happy whomever we pick.

I wouldn't expect him to be a finisher but a guy who can get you some post up offense which is not Lee's game at all. I think he was slow in the combines. They kept picking on his lateral speed and sprint times. But you know that going in with him. He is slower than Love but he has that crafty footwork. His up and under moves combined with his mid range game reminds me of Love. The only thing is below average defense.

Love is more athletic than he is credited. Once he lost those extra baby pounds prior to the draft, he displayed increase in mobility that wasn't on display at UCLA. Hansborough was more mobile when he was freshman but put on muscle which may have impacted him more than expected. He developed his game as a post player.

I wouldn't be mad at the pick in the late first round but I wouldn't look for him to replace Lee just be a post presence which this team lacks anyway.

Gibson would be more of a Lee type of player because he plays well in transition.

On the combined show Jay Williams had Blair as a lottery pick and Bilas agreed. I don't know if I would consider him a lottery guy. I like him in the mid first round.

i would only take Blair w/a late 1st rounder... if mid 1st round is where he projects i pass... we don't have the assets to acquire a mid 1st rounder anymore, we passed that chance up at the deadline last year... the only way to get a mid 1st rounder IMHO is if we trade down from #8, & i'm reluctant to do that unless certain guys are already off the draft board at our turn to pick.

Personally, I don't think this is that weak of a draft.

me neither... i think it's a very deep draft... not packed w/a whole lotta superstars, but there's still some very good prospects u can get late in the draft this year.
