If I was running things we would end up with Mullens and Teague and I would get it done

can't you buy out the franchise from dolan?

No but I can offer sound opinion. Both Teague and Mullens are better than Steph Curry. People forget how good Teague was until he slumped. He was a top 3 pick at one point--getting him at 10 or less is a steal.

It seems to me people are also forgetting how good Curry was last year, putting a mid-major school on his back and carrying them to the elite 8. Then to come back the following year an have an even better season, while playing a different position and carrying a bulls eye on his back all year. 2 straight years of really good play vs. a half of year for Teague. I'm leaning towards Curry myself.

Number 1 I would pick Mullens before any of them and if that isnt apparent to the under-sized Knicks they should hand in their badges. College basketball and the NBA are two different monsters. teague's incredible first step long arms athletic ability and under rated skill sets will make him a very tough player to contend with

So, apparently, Kevin Durant finished last in the athletic testing.

Derozan's reach is less than Evans despite being a bit taller.

I think he will be there at 8 and we should pounce--chance for us to get a Pau Gasol type player to go along with Lee long term.

We should nab a PG back in the draft--I would start by trying to do a $ deal with Milwaukee for their pick. Money is going to be important this year and picks are a good way of finding money. Our payroll dropped off the table--we should be able to have the resources it takes to get a second pick.

What every way you want to think--this is still a big mans league first.

how come williams isn't being talked about for us at 8, btw?

we can use a sg as much as a pg.

not saying we would take him, but he's intriguing.

i didn't get a chance to watch much of louisville this year, actually.

i know this place is filled with big east followers...

what's the take on him?

sounds like he can play multiple positons, shoot from 3, defend, is a tough guy, and has ridiculous athleticism.

guess he's not much of a one-on-one scorer...more of a role player

but sounds like he is good in the pick and roll, and has good court vision.

not something i'd have a huge problem with at 8 in this draft.

Wouldn't be a bad idea Briggs.

Gotta give you props Briggs with Mullens. I have been lukewarm to him, but you've been all over him for a while now. Good call my friend.

Well I do think there is something to be said for eye for talent.

I still would love to come away from this draft with Mullens AND Curry...

Ford says Knicks might not be so hot on Evans if he was there (who Lavin had us slated to pick) but also said Curry's stock is rising and he may not even be there for us at 8 (who Jay Williams had us picking).

agree. likely Presti will too when picking 3rd for a roster with very little upfront in terms of size and skill.

My guy Paddy Mills is going to be a very good pro. The guy I am starting to like is Wayne Ellington also. Trade down and get some depth at the big and guard position.

When you look at a players height on espn or nba.com or whatever, they give you the height with shoes, right?

I believe the nba official measurements are taken without shoes. Then 1 inch is added. This gets around the fact some shoes add more height than others. So with that system, Lawson's nba height will be 6'1".
