Does anybody ever envision Gallo having a back-to-the-basket, dump it down to me and move out the the way ability? Will that ever even be an aspect of his game? He looks like Hedo, so where is our inside presence coming from?

i'm thinking Hedo too... Gallo's game is finesse, he's not a banger down low & he's not a great rebounder either, that's not his game... most he's ever averaged as a pro is 5.6 rebounds a game the year before he was drafted... he's a wing player like a Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu... i think he'll be a better defender than either of those guys tho.

Gallos game is NOT only finesse. What you saw last year was an injured player not taking it to the hole. By all accounts in Europe he takes it inside and does that often. Gallo has got lots of moves, but that does not make him a finesse player. I think it's deceiving to see such an intelligent player with those moves taking it inside on a regular basis. That is what he did in Europe. Watch him this year, his game will go more inside (as in Europe).

He may not be a banger, I mean he can't be, he doesn't have the body to rebound like that yet. But we all see he has this passion, almost like a chip on his shoulders, but not quite. He plays with a lot of fire. I see him as an inside out guy in all honesty, it's just that we saw only a part of his game last year.

which accounts are those? just curious... every clip i've seen of him on YouTube & every time i've watched him in game action he's usually shooting the ball, taking step back J's or driving to the lane on dribble penetration if he's ever in the paint... he wasn't hurt when he was playing these games... i've rarely seen him posting up & banging down low for position... this is what i'm talking about when i say he's a finesse player... that's got absolutely nothing to do w/whether or not he's playing w/fire or intensity... Nate's a finesse player too under my definition... he's relies on his perimeter game & ball handling skills first & foremost, just like Gallo does... Chandler & Harrington are both examples of someone who can excel at both a finesse style game & be a banger down low... i just don't see Gallo ever growing into that type of player... who knows, maybe he will but i don't see much evidence to tell me otherwise.

I mispoke, I meant to say he takes it inside (as you said on drives). I didn't mean posting up and banging. It was early in the morning for me ;-) Regarding Gallo's development, I can see him being a heady player inside like Lee is sometimes on offense. Because Lee can use two hands he doesn't need to bang as often to put the ball in the hoop. I can see Gallo scoring inside without having to bang, based more on his intelligence, up and under moves, etc. But that is just a guess...

We have yet to see what gallo can really do other than You Tube.

We see potential, and thats good enough.

I think Wilson Chandler is a hell of a ball player who has yet to define his game.

I am encouraged by his developement this year, and Gallo's potential.

If we draft a point we could actually start 4 guys that we drafted in the last 3 years!

Gallo
No. 8 pick
Lee
Chandler

Im not saying we are even close, but its happening. Caps space in 12 months too!
