why can't they play them together in the same backcourt? Baron loves to shoot the ball anyway, let him play the SG & have Westbrook play point... they don't have anyone better playing the SG position anyway.

B Diddy & Griffin for Rubio, Watson, Collison, OKL's #25 pick & their unprotected #1 in 2010 might work

Don't they use Durant as a SG primarily with JG playing the SF? The ball is pretty much in Westbrook or Durant's hands. A guy like Baron would just stunt the growth of both players because he demands the ball too much himself.

They are starting to fall in love with some of these guys. I figure both Holiday and Mullens may begin to sky rocket up the draft board.

PG - Westbrook
SG - Diddy
SF - Durant
PF - Griffin
C - Krstic
6 - Green

i don't see where the issue lies... that's a pretty strong starting 5 right there.

“DeRozan is not working out with anyone. He isn’t going up against Gerald Henderson or anyone else at this point. He may not even go to Toronto. He won’t fall to 9."

Curry is getting love from teams as high up as Washington and also has a chance to be drafted 6th (Minnesota) or 7th (Golden State). While the Knicks clearly like him, he isn’t the only player they will consider—the other top candidates on their board currently appear to be Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday

extra light and uber small predominantly jumpshooting 5.

overall that lineup gets outmuscled and/or jumped over on a nightly basis.

i'm sorry, i forgot to add Griffin to that starting 5... he'd obviously be taking over for Green.

trade up to #5 & take Derozan & call it a day... enough w/this talk of all these undersized SG's.

The Combine buzz is Oklahoma City, selecting third, also is very interested in Stephen Curry and has scouted him furiously.

"Like they had season tickets," Curry said.

Perhaps the Thunder could be a Knicks partner looking to trade down.

"They were very interested," said a somewhat surprised Thabeet, who added the Knicks did not broach the subject of trading up.

interesting... maybe we have a shot at Rubio afterall... can't imagine what we'd offer up to get OKL interested in trading down tho, unless it's part of a D Lee or Nate S&T that's done under the table... hopefully it won't be involving Chandler.

You want them to have Green come off the bench? I don't think they would want Davis to interfere with Durant's growth.

Griffin's better than Green & so is Durant... where do u want Green to play then? u wanna play Durant at the SG & have Baron Davis as the 6th man? that's not realistic.

speaking for myself, if there's any possible shot that we can get Griffin, Rubio or Derozan by trading up, then i seriously hope the Knicks get 1 of those guys... those are potential franchise changing players right there IMO.

otherwise, if we can't get any of those 3 guys, i can deal w/any of Hill, Thabeet, Curry, Jennings, Evans, Holiday or trading down to nab Mullens & Christmas or Teague & Gibson.

i hope they stay away from anyone else.

Speaking of Rubio, I encountered a number of NBA GMs and scouts this week who were pretty skeptical about Rubio's NBA future. They see him as an average athlete who can't shoot well and who is turnover prone, and wonder aloud why he's ranked so high.

A few GMs said Rubio isn't in their top five. While I've heard doubts expressed before, the skepticism was expressed much more strongly this week by more execs. I'm going to keep digging. Maybe Henry Abbott struck a chord with his TrueHoop post on Rubio.

In any case, if Memphis and Oklahoma City decide against Rubio and don't trade either of their picks to a team that wants to move up to get him, it's hard to see the Sacramento Kings passing on Rubio at No. 4.

when "a few NBA GMs" are quoted, its always smart to keep in mind that 2 out of every 3 nba gms have their heads up their ass. if rubio starts to fall i hope the knicks make a move. from what i've read about the combine though, i'm liking curry at 8.

I'm liking curry at 8 tooif he is on the board. He is going to be an excellent pro. He can shoot it and that is what the Knicks under MDA is all about. He isn't a bad passer and has a very good handle. With that said look for Curry to go any where from 2-5.

Curry put on a shooting show -- no surprise there -- but many GMs commented that he really looked like he belonged when he participated in a number of ballhandling and full-court drills. If Curry can prove to teams that he can play point guard, he'll go somewhere between No. 5 and 13. If he can't, he could slip out of the lottery. The results of the first day of camp had to be encouraging.

I constantly hear people criticize how weak this draft is, but to be honest, this is as comfortable going into a draft as I have been in a long time. Whether it's Curry, Derozan, Holiday, or Jennings (despite not hearing anything too recent on him), I'm feeling pretty damn confident we'll wind up with a good player.

Hell, if Rubio's stock is really falling as reported, we may be able to make one last power play to move up.

I'm excited for June 25th.
