I like larry. I like reezy.

Larry had the Cats on a roll for while after his typical rough start.

They about turned their roster over and still managed to win more games then the previous year.

So yeah, I can appreciate what he tried to do here, and the job he did in charlotte.

Mistakes were made here and he certainly had his share.

But in the long run Reezy was better off moving on and its not like he did great in Orlando either.

in the long run Larry was right about gutting the knicks roster. He made one really big mistake trying to get Francis to replace Marbury so he can get him exiled.

Many teams even on the path to winning make mistakes. Darko in Detroit is a great example. who could really fathom that Francis could drop off that substantially?

Charlotte turned over the roster and larry broke them down and they still were sniffing the 8th spot for a while.

not a bad job at all!

I think what has helped Ariza is the fact that he plays with one of the best players ever in Kobe Bryant and one of the best coaches ever in Phil Jackson on his side. It's not just about playing with Kobe during games. Ariza is now watching and doing different routines that Kobe does in practice and is getting ready for games just like Kobe. There is nothing better than learning different techniques on how to be successful from Kobe first hand. LA was the best situation for Ariza. Phil Jackson is one of the best out getting the full capacity out of role players.

The kid really has done a great job rounding out his game. Maybe getting his arse kicked by larry was the best thing for him in the long run.

What is amazing is the kids instinct for the ball. His outside shot and handle is average now, and in the NBA thats still saying a lot.

That Steal to seal game one might be the season's most important play. Without it they might be down 0-2 going to denver instead of 1-1. He has been making big plays at big moments.

Guys like this are not easy to find and should be coveted. DLee has this intangable instinct and while he is no "go to guy", he should be retained.

We can only hope he wants to stay here and be resonable about his price.

Its pretty amazing that you've found a way to give Larry the credit for Ariza's imporvement when Larry didn't like him, benched him and got him booted out of town. Those are some pretty rosy colored glasses your wearing there. If there is any connection to be made with the knicks, its that Isiah drafted this kid in the 2nd round.

His stroke is pretty sweet, but when you play with great players you get nice looks. If he continues to work hard, he can become something, he physically has everything he needs, its just a matter of putting in the work at this point. BUt I don't regret not having him or any of the other talent that has slipped through our hands, because with this cluster**** of an organization we have, none of those guys would have reached their full potential.

he's turning into a poor man's Scottie Pippen for Kobe... plays good D, uses his length really well & overplays the passing lanes, can run the floor & finish at the rim w/dunks, not very good at laying up the ball in traffic but can knock down an open 3 & handle the ball a little in transition... not nearly the passer that Scottie was but he's become a very nice role player for the Lakers... it's too bad we gave up on this kid so early.

T,

Im not giving Larry credit at all.

I liked the kid all along and was pissed when he got traded. The Kid got smacked down by larry and sat on orlando's bench as a reserve player. Getting rejected can result in motivation for some.

Im glad for him. I think really he would not have had this success being on a team like the knicks.
