I was thinking about this.

The Clippers... just may be the team that Griffin can really excel with. I hate this guy as a #1 pick. I think he's a smallish Milsap. He'll be solid, but not #1 pick worthy.

On the Clips though, they have scoring at the 1,2,4, and 5 spots and shooters with some range at each spot.

Griffin will be able to play the 3, which is where he'll need to be in order to have a chance at being a star. He'll be able to live in the paint on offense and will have a shotblocker behind him on defense.

Somehow... the Clips may have fallen into something positive for once.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

i don't know, i think he's a 4 in the nba no doubt, he had 14 rebounds per game last season, he's going to be an all star next year.

Camby would be an ok 1 year solution, but I might be more interested in seeing what they want for Kaman.

i was just thinking if the clippers would get rid of Kaman and i think no...Kaman is very valuable now to block shot behind precious #1 pick B. Griffin.

Griffin is a bonafide 4... he doesn't have the perimeter game or the quickness to guard swingmen in the NBA to be a 3... anyway, the Clips already have Al Thornton at that position... right now Zach & Camby are the odd men out.

i don't think Walsh would sacrifice his 2010 plan for Kaman... he's probably holding out for a superstar at this point, & if he can't get one then he's gonna keep trying to clear cap space for the 2010 free agent market... IMO Camby is the perfect solution as a stopgap if you're trying to compete next year... there aren't any better shotblockers or front court defenders u can get w/an expiring contract w/o having to give up a ton of assets to get.

you have to wonder how much Camby has left in him. he will be 36 at the all star break next season. what if he falls apart?

another option to get a shotblocker is to offer up Chris Duhon for Brendan Haywood if WAS would be open to it but i don't think MDA wants to groom 2 PG's at the same time to try & learn this system again.

wait until you see this guy's measurements come in... you would draft a 6'8" power forward #1?

Elton Brand was 6'7"... Charles Barkley 6'6"... would u have drafted either of them #1 in this draft? i sure as hell would... if u watch Griffin play, his game is that of a PF, not of a SF... & that's the position he's going to play in the NBA, u can bank on it.

he'd better develop a shot like Sir Charles did - I just don't see it
He's never played on the floor against teams with three people bigger than him on the opposing team.

i don't see any reason to doubt this kid... he's easily as strong as Boozer & just as skilled in the low post w/more athleticism... he's not only gonna be a tough cover in the low post, but in transition he'll be a nightmare to keep up with, especially for the more lumbering taller bigmen in the NBA... i dunno if he'll ever develop a great perimeter game but using his strength, athleticism & tenacity he'll be able to simply outwork, outjump & outrun a lot of guys in the NBA right now.
