i think the rockets were able to hang for the sole reason they were able to put the 2 best defending wing players on kobe. denver doesn't have anywhere close to that, hence why the lakers will beat them. it's not about playing hard or outworking - it had purely to do with matchups.

Kobe will go off more in this series, but there are some serious matchup problems for the Lakers against Denver if you want to go that route.

Let Kobe go off, and neutralize everyone else.

it's not about kobe going off...it's about impeding the lakers from running their normal offense b/c artest + battier forced them to change. now, they can run their normal offense. denver is tough but i don't see them winning 3 games, let alone 2.

What is that swiss cheese the lakers call defense going to do about Melo, J.R Smith, KMart, and Klezia down low? Odom and Gasol are going to be looking for the first thing smokin' out of town.

I give the edge to Denver, but its close to a toss up. I really hope the refs dont do them dirty like the Kings, man. Lebron vs. Kobe is the best thing for the league obviously, but Stern cant keep sacrificing the integrity of the league. They are on a mini-resurgence, I hope he doesnt blow it with greed.

Nuggets are taking this and they are talking the Championship too.
