That's a bit harsh. He's averaged 69 games per season for his career. That's not great but it's not terrible. I'd take 69 games of Yao over 82 games of all but a few guys in the league.

sometimes things don't work out as planned, in life, bitty. yao has had his injuries, but i wouldn't call him fragile or even injury prone, yet. he has had several loaded summers. this summer he will finally be able to rest. yao is a warrior, a basketball god, he is not weak nor fragile. the rockets will be back next year better than ever.

you can't change this team. you got yao and mcgrady and artest all coming back next year, they're going to jel and mesh and all that, and they're gonna wins it.

I don't think Yao is soft at all but McGrady is a bum to the highest degree. The Rockets unlike a lot of NBA teams imo has legitimate chance of winning a title. I would hate for the team to completely fall apart before being able to at least make it to the Finals.

Too late now. They are losing the next two games. They've been stripped to their bare bones now. No Yao. No T-Mac. No Deke.

PS: I happen to like all three of those players, but healthwise, that team is a disaster.

He's never available in the playoffs, that's the only time that matters.

I'm actually looking forward to that match up.

Now you're reaching a strong conclusion based on a really small sample of games. It's unlikely that he is more injury prone for games in May than in April or any other month.

with the way the CBA is structured, there is really no way for an overachieving 50+ win team to improve.

The CBA should allow for an Allan Houston rule which could be use every other year or like once in 5 year type of span. Where the contract would still be guarantee but the team would be able to remove the contract from its cap. Unfortunately a team like the Knicks will stick muck it up by using it on the wrong players.

Houston up big without Yao - can they sustain? They had the long win streak last year without both T Mac & Yao.

I also want to say there is no way the Knicks should even consider signing Yao in 2010, and nor should the rockets.

Z & the Dunking Dutchman both had foot/ankle injuries early and then seemed to overcome for decent careers.

they'll sustain for this game and win, but it seems unlikely that they can sustain for the remainder of the series
