jw, absolutely, but this is like asking us to speculate on whether it's going to rain on june 18th. none of us have any insight into this at all...it's 100% guesswork.
this question's outcome is based on pure chance. if you turn out to be right, it will have had NOTHING to do with any insight or ability to predict such things.
sure, a lot of knick fans are understandably defeatist about the lotto because we haven't won it since 1985, but this is just our own angst as a fan base unless someone can somehow show some legit evidence that the lotto is currently fixed (of which there are mounds of evidence that goes against such assertions).
when we poll on who we think the knicks will pick, or who we think is the best player for the team, or what pick will do best in the nba, do you see the difference? these relate to some kind of knowledge or insight we as fans might have.
even sports gambling is based on believed knowledge that can be acquired.
this is more like roulette, and we're being asked to predict what number the knicks will land on.
actually, what this poll most tells us is how damaged we are or not as a fan base about our chances to do well on draft day, outside of the actual statistical probability we stay put, move down or up.
5 people actually voted we wind up at #2 and get Rubio...that's almost 30% of the voters i am seeing thus far (5 out of 17) which is WAY OUT OF WHACK with the actual chances the knicks wind up at #2.
