This is not about who you think is better, who would be better for the team, who you think Walsh should keep... More sentimental. If one of these 2 players were to leave the Knicks, as a FAN.. Which player would you miss more? Nate or Lee? I personally would miss both a lot, and i sincerely hope Walsh resigns BOTH and trades Jeffries/Curry(Ithink he will too). I think i'd have to give Nate the slight edge just for his wild personality, but Lee is a true blue new york knick. Tough call
I'll miss lil Nate
I'll miss DLEE

While I'd miss watching Lee go after bounds and finishing. I think Nate is the guy that makes u go ooh and wow in just about every game. I'd miss him most from a purely entertainment standpoint.

Honestly, I hate Robinson. I'll be glad when he leaves.

I got believe, there's really nothing to miss about either, they have done nothing but lose games more so then win them. How could you miss anything associated with losing, and I know it's not entirely their fault but they did very little to make this team better. Quite frankly walsh would be a dick if in intends on resign both of them.

His arsenal is limited... he does what he does well, but I do think the skillset is *somewhat* replaceable. I doubt the Knicks get a super-duper-star in FA, but I'd prefer a Joe Johnson/Carlos Boozer (or similar) tandem to a Nate Robinson/David Lee

I have never seen someone get dumped on so much.

16pts 11.7rbs 2.1ass

Against Dwight Howard
20pts 16rbs 4ass
14pts 13rbs
10pts 10rbs

Against Boston
18pts 18rbs
14pts 14rbs 4blks
10pts 7rbs

Against Spurs
13pts 12rbs 4stls 4asst
15pts 9rbs

Against Lakers
22pts 12rbs
18pts 14rbs

Against Houston
17pts 13rbs
14pts 11rbs

Against Suns
25pts 16rbs
15pts 12rbs

I don't know what everyone wants from the guy, he played out of position nearly every game. He has a pg that isn't a top 15 player at his position, no shooting guard or power forward and a team that doesn't play defense.
his problems:

1) he doesn't play any decent defense.

2) he's short for PF and Center positions (which makes his production more impressive)

3) his stats are most likely padded because he is basically the only "hustle" front court player we have

4) he has no go-to moves - everything he gets is lunchpail hustle playing

5) those stats have not made the knicks a playoff team. sure the knicks could suck more without him, but they are not great with him.

So lee sucks; but Knicks suck big time.
I guess you are right.

Lee is a solid role player, but let's give Nate his due, the guy was a serious runner up for 6th man award. You put him on a decent team and he's instant dynamite and I believe he'd be an extremely effective part of a winning team. Don't make the mistake of assuming that just cuz we can't fully benefit from his contributions on this losing team that he wouldn't fit perfectly off the bench for a better team. It's my opinion that Lee actually could have more of an impact than Lee on a better team. Lee is not an initiator on offense, whereas Nate is. For all of Nate's faults, he fit into a very important role in the NBA for many teams. Instant impact off the bench.

I get the feeling that Lee puts up numbers mainly cuz we don't have anyone else to compete for rebounds. He's solid in the finisher role in our offense, but his lack of a serious offensive game outside of being setup, is a bit of a problem. I think that we could more easily replace Lee and not miss him than Nate. Being able to heat up in a hurry is actually very rare, which is why we remember the guys like "Microwave", Starks, Ginobili, Ben Gordon or Barbosa.
Who would you miss more as a FAN... Lee or Nate?
