Good point, He got Artest to get himself ejected.

You don't gotta like Kobe, but he gets it done.

Faced with being down 0-2 they tied it up and got Ron to react.

While its all cool, Ron had a moment and got ejected from a playoff game. Thats the bottom line.

I can't get with that man...that seems to be the theme with most sports fans...the same things were said in the Chris Paul thread. Chris Paul is a douche bag but he gets a pass be cause he's "the best point guard in the nba". Now Chris Paul is the best point guard in the nba and Kobe is the best player in the game...but still just because of that it doesn't excuse the pussification and douchebaggerisms.

Now I gave Kobe probs for changing as a man and focusing on the game and he has done a great job in that. This particular instance I can't take. Jordan wouldn't do no **** like that. He would throw the elbow and man up.

I haven't forgotten how Artest back down from Ben Wallace yet runs in the stands to fight a fan over a cup of beer. Ben Wallace almost took his head off and he took a nap on the scorers table.....I applaud him for changing his ways so far but I will side with him forever on this one.

It will be intereting to see if a technical interpretation of the rule book is applied (anyone remember Ewing getting off the bench) or will the league protect it's golden boy. I swear it always seems like the Knicks get screwed in these situations & for once I'd like to see some else get it raw dog style from the league!!!

yo man if i did that to you and then denied it....first of all you would kick my ass or at least confront me right away....Kobe tried to play like he didn't do anything. LOL, shame on you Kobe for giving as well as you got. Artest and Battier have been throwing elbows and grabbing Kobe's jersey in the 1st game and the 2nd and now they have a problem because a player won't just take it and complain to ref like Dirk. Ron is my boy but sometimes you have to take as well as you give.

Kobe is an instigating arshole, but I'm sure Artest and Battier have been throwing elbows just as much. I wish I can catch this series more than I have been. This one is gonna go down to the wire.

PS, I've always loved Artest as a player, but I just didn't think he would have done well in NY with Stephon Marbury AND Zach Randolph on the team, and that was always my arguement. Now both of those guys are gone, and I would like him on the team. Unfortunately, we're not going to get him, but he sure would be a nice stopper for us.

did u read Kobe's lips when Ron came over & got in his face? he said "Man, back up" & threw up his hands & turned his face away... normally if u warning someone to back up you're gonna look him in the eye & push him away with your hands, or at the very least go chest to chest & wait for him to make a move... Kobe got punked before by Chris Childs for throwing a cheap elbow, i don't think he wants to be messing w/Crazy Ron... LOL!

the day we made the stupid Zach trade i wanted Artest on the Knicks... at that point we shoulda went all in cuz it was apparent that character issues were not a priority w/guys like Marbury & Zach on the team... i bet this team woulda made the playoffs w/Artest here... not that we would have won any championships but our cap was fugged anyway so what the hell.

Dude Ron ran up on Kobe riding his back, Kobe pushed back and Ron then tried to lean on his back, question is how did Kobe's elbrow find Artest's throat if Ron was trying leverage himself in a position that Kobe already establish. To me it look like Kobe wasn't even looking at him but was trying to elbow him off his back. The fact that Ron put his throat in the way isn't a cheap shot. You can't play tough thug basketball and then get mad if someone isn't just going to take it like Dirk. I think Artest was more surprise that Kobe wasn't taking it and he picked up the foul for trying to ride his back. Nothing new between them, they have history. It pisses off Ron a lot that Kobe doesn't take his ****.



Some people are of the opinion that is ok to roughhouse better talented players as a way to even out the game but I just think it crazy when people are surprise when those guys respond in kind. Fisher play on Scola was pure payback and it got everyone attention and a suspension for him.
