It won't be Durant, Phar, he didn't improve all that much and is already considered an All-Star (to be).

Lee and Chandler did have nice increases in play. In fact early on Duhon was most certainly in the running until he ran out of gas. Check around I guess January some point and Duhon was really tearing it up compared to last year. That fell apart though.

A good point about Granger but it still is a separate reward so I could see him getting consideration.

Harris though really did improve a lot compared to most. I think you might be selling him a bit short. It was also a big news trade there (Kidd for Harris) and you can tell that Dallas was absolutely RETARDED for making that trade. So the press for Harris is certainly there.

I can't think of anyone else really. I'm still annoyed that Boris F'in Diaw got the award over David West who was clearly much more improved individually where Diaw had a lot of help to improve. But, well, it's the NBA... It's Fan(who we tell you to root for and you will LIKE it) Tastic.

Yeah, I thought West was more deserving too that year but in retrospect he became an all-star.

Harris is a strange case because I thought his real improvement was last season. Hedo had a bigger impact though and the guys that really improve this year didn't make the post season. Other than Lee and Chandler, I think Marvin Williams and Nate Robinson are darkhorses. Nene doesn't deserve a MIP. If they still were giving out Comeback Player of the Year awards then yeah. At the beginning of the season Duhon was the run away favorite. A tale of two seasons.
