The kid shoots 45% from the field, 40% from 3, 87% from the line and if you gave him 16 shoots a night like nate I am sure the average would be very similiar. How's his defense briggs??

Also like the idea of Harrington/Mobley for Shaq that Hahn mentioned in his blog.

Getting two role guys that don't disrupt team chemistry and play within themselves is always better long term.

Were going to have a need to rebuild players 6-12 as much as players 1-5. The key this time around is to pick better players and give them appropriate contracts. You can see from the playoffs how important depth is and I mean quality depth. You just cant do what Isiah did--pay guys 35mm if they dont have that upside.

Were talking about two guys with upside in this system who are young and unrestricted--intagible guys who can bring quality for cheap. By no means are these guys stars but you need quality guys just as much as the stars in the culmulative

Gortat's impact >>>>>> Dalembert. Man, I remember how many times UK posters wanted Dalembert and his ridiculous contract.

Nate from a marketing perspective may get him increased dollars somewhere else. If you go back and look at the game log that Watson put up it's very impressive. I don't know much about the kid but if you can split the money in half and add these two guys all of a sudden the knicks are starting to actually build a team to add to our pick/chandler/gallo and lee perhaps.

I think Gorat could have a Varejo impact with this team.

The Knicks were not to far away from being a decent team last year they just couldn't finish games and once harrington/q expire we are going to be a lot stronger, especially with harrington gone you now have a team of unselfish role players. What do you guys think cleveland is. We need to increase the defense, unity and professionalism

didn't we learn our lesson with Lampe- don't take Polish players!

Actually- I think he could be a good signing, and I've liked his play, even in limited minutes.

I would not offer him any kind of Max MLE money- perhaps $5mm for 1 year-

Briggs wanted Big Baby - but Gortat would probably fit in the Euro-style MDA is looking to build better & assuming you can sign him for less money, a better investment.

Until we start winning, unless we're getting LeBron or similar super stars, we should limit what we spend on a contract because why spend money to lose- we can do that with NBDLers just as easily.
Lampe would be a good pickup if he came back. He's playing very overseas

I would love to have him back - big man with outside shot - perfect for the MDA system.
