from nba.com:

Bosh EFF: 24.90
Lee EFF: 22.96

I've never seen 16/12 player subject to so much doubt and criticism.

never heard of troy murphy then?

All it takes is one team to make a bid and Walsh is screwed. Portland bigs arent playing very well in the playoffs this year.

The worst argument I have heard yet. "Hey, other guys have bad contracts so whats one more?!"
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

King, just cuz a player is making market value money doesn't mean it's in our best interests to lock him up to a longterm contract... u have to look at the big picture, & the type of team that MDA & Walsh are trying to put together in terms of the style of ball they wanna play, the team's biggest need areas & how he addresses those needs, the Free Agency picture in 2010... all of these factors have to be considered very carefully before committing to ANY longterm contracts, whether you're talking about D Lee, Nate or anyone else for that matter... we all know you have a sentimental attachment to your boy... u need to separate yourself from your personal feelings for a moment & consider the big picture from a more unaffected point of view.

word word, like i beez sayin, yo, he do be worth dat much, but it aint the right fit for us to be givin it to him, nah'mean? nah'mean? so yea, straight up, he should get likes 10 mil or so, but it won't be from us... unless he be lovin da knicks like dat and he agree for like between 6-8 mil...but why would he be doin dat if he know he worth more???? You see the dilemma? I wonder how Donnie Walsh will figure this one out. Have we discussed a back-loaded contract here? Wayyyyyy back-loaded?

I totally agree on the Knicks paying him money but you cant have your cake and eat it too. They had a chance last summer to lock him up for 7-8 but they decided against it and Lee has a big year. Now you either have to pay him or lose him for nothing

yes, we all know they had a chance & they passed it up... now Walsh has painted himself into a corner of sorts... either he shells out the duckets to keep Lee in NY, or he has to figure out a way to sign & trade him & still maximize his value... that's gonna be harder to do now that the Knicks can no longer really dictate which team they trade him to... Lee is gonna have to want to play ball & agree to any sign & trade deals now... the time to trade him was last year at the trade deadline, but that opportunity has passed us by... now Walsh has to make the tough decision on Lee's future & make sure he doesn't end up losing him for nothing as a free agent, because if that happens he deserves to be fired IMHO... that's just simply irresponsible GMing, i don't care if it were Isiah Thomas or Donnie Walsh we're talking about.

David Lee to Portland 6 years 57MM for Jerryd Bayless 2010 First round pick 2009 2nd round pick[ours back] and sign raef Lafrentz to a one year contract

You can think of 10-15 solid David Lee or Nate Robinson value trades.

POR ain't making that trade dude, get real... what do they need D Lee for when they have a terrific young PF already anyway?

I wonder if Portland would trade Oden- he has bust written all over him.

i wouldn't expect them to give up on Oden for at least another 2 years... the only thing worse than your #1 overall pick being a bust is giving up on him too early & watching him develop into a star on another team.

Exactly man. They're going to give Lee 57M for 6 years? As a backup?

Lamarcus Aldridge shyts all over David Lee.

This is NYC. Nothing short of Supperstar is not good enough.
Thats why we are in such a hole.

Supperstar? We got one of those in Eddie Curry for sure.

I wonder if we can use Lee and Nate to get into the 2010 draft. Its going to be a great one, I would like us to check the availability of guys like Javale Mcgee etc.. if we can get two young athletic guys for these two players in S+T--if not perhaps picks
