Melo shat the bed today. He could have won the game but he shat the bed. He lost the ball then in explicably regained control but then threw up an absolute garbage turnaround prayer when he still had about 10 seconds left on the shot clock! I couldn't believe it myself. I was thinking.... GIVE IT TO BILLUPS and let him drive to the rim and either score or get fouled.

Yet, no, Melo threw up a Drew Gooden-esque turnaround prayer of garbage. Melo is no superstar. Now if we could land LeBron and Melo? Then, yeah, score..

Melo by himself? OR paired with Bosh? We're not going far.

Like I said..NO will win the 2 games in NO then go to Denver and behind CP3 will win a surprising game in Denver.

You need to get MUCH more than an expiring contract for Billups. He's a damn good player. If all they wanted was the expiring contract, they could have gotten that and draft picks and/or solid young players. They thought AI would be better for the team than the draft picks/young players would be, and they were wrong. They held onto Rasheed for too long too. They had a great squad but held onto their players for too long and will pay for it in the future.

TWO-SHAY, BON BON! howeverz, billups BE 33, dawg! He isn't getting any younger, or fresher. Also, what of the jersey sales and increased attendance? did this materialize? if it did, that's something to consider.

Damn, so people around here were waiting for him to slip up so they could run in here and bash him.

Hmmm...this is a good development to me, 'cause that means were treating him like we do our players. He could be on his way to becoming a Knick soon. Go Hornets!

It was very hard for Denver to lose in any trade that got rid of Iverson.

personally i think Iverson is 1 of the top players in the NBA, but sometimes trades aren't a good fit... or should i say sometimes players aren't a good fit for certain teams.

Iverson, individually speaking, is a great player. But we all know individual greatness means nothing in team sports if the team doesn't prosper. Iverson never made his teams exceptional; they nudged along while he hoisted up 18029581205 shots per game and struggled to shoot above 40%. It would be hard to imagine a correct 'fit' for him.

i can see Iverson playing well in Atlanta w/all those young players on the wings that they have... once Joe Johnson is gone they won't have any real A option players on offense... Bibby is a big shot maker but he's not close to the offensive player that AI is, & he's not an especially great orchestrator either IMO.

like i said, there's some situations that are good for a player like AI & others that aren't a good match... u'r talking about 2 teams here that weren't a good match & another that he won a ROY & MVP award playing for, 3 time All NBA 1st team selection, 10 time Allstar, won 4 NBA scoring titles & led them to a Finals appearance... this guy is a shoe in first ballot HOFer you're talking about... let's not make it seem like he's been a journeyman who's bounced around all over the place & hasn't been able to fit in anywhere.

i thought about this for a bit, and concluded that iverson should be nowhere near a young team. all he can do is poison their malleable brains.

If Dumars doesn't do something great this summer I am beginning to this he has lost it as a gm.

Amir Johnson sucks, the darko pick, his drafting has been very subpar, and the Iverson trade made no sense, Marion made more sense, even Marcus Camby before LA signed baron, I understand cap room, but much better offers. Kwame Brown?

He held onto Wallace and Prince to long should have gotten something for them.
