Briggs, if you could do it, that would be a killer trade for us. Would fill needs of both teams, but Washington does have some of the worst salary issues in the league.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Is Javale any good to begin with? I'd rather trade for Anthony Randolph.

This is a great deal for the Knicks, but frankly I don't see Washington making the deal. How much is left on James contract?

Doesnt matter...he plays for another team so he is the next Karl Malone/Gary Payton/George Gervin/Micheal Jordan/John Stockton/Manute Bol/Tim Hardaway/Bob Cousy/Carl Lewis/Babe Ruth/Wayne Gretsky/Howard Cosell/Beethoven/Marvin Gaye, hybrid. All our players are dramatically inferior posers who should be given away.

You'll learn soon enough how things work about here.

I would do this trade if I was Walsh in a NY min. You dont get guys like McGee cheap unless they still have maturing to do. This guy would be a perfect fit in the D'Antoni system. He can run, rebound, block.

Can I say BLOCK 1 more time? He's averaging 1 block a game in 15 minutes per game. He's already had 5 blocks each in 2 games against Yao Ming and Dwight Howard. When was the last ANYONE on our team had 5 blocks?

Lee.........lets see......no defense, no blocking, his men blow by him all the time. Terrible help defender as well. He can rebound and he can score on the low post......so he's a double double machine. Big frigging deal. Steph averaged 20 and 8 and was and is STILL a terrible defender.
Nixluva is posting triangle screen grabs, even when nobody asks - Fishmike. LOL So are we going to reference that thread like the bible now? "The thread of Wroten Page 14 post 9" - EnySpree

Washington will be under pressure to win now. They already have Blatche as a 6-11 young big. Offering Lee would let them move Jamison to 3 Butler to 2 and Arenas to 1. I would thing the win now new coach might like it. Can we make it more enticing is a first year money sense to appease the Wizards--i.e we take back 25% more than Lees 1st year contract.

Obviously if they win the lotto we dont have this convo, but is Rubio, Thabeet, or Hill that enticing to them? I could see them grabbing Lee and swapping anything other than a #1.

again, washington is looking to dump salary. they are in luxury and are looking to pare payroll. this entire thread is moot.

If they were looking to dump salary then they wouldnt have signed Arenas to that monster deal. If they wanted to dump salary then they would have moved Jamison for Wally...the deal that was rumored during the deadline. They are looking to make another run with Arenas back.

Wizards May Consider Dealing 2009 1st Round Pick

The Wizards will have one of the top picks in the 2009 NBA Draft, but could possibly deal it because of their financial situation.

The team has about $75.9 million committed to contracts for next season, which would put them over the luxury-tax threshold.

If the Wizards were to deal the pick, they would likely try to attach a troublesome contract along with it.
The Wizards traded their previous lottery pick in 2004 to Dallas.

does that sound like a team looking to add long term salary?

WAS should probably trade the pick to OKL if they win the lottery... they'll still end up w/a top 3 talent in the draft & it's a good chance for them to dump a bad contract in the process.

Well, they are definitely speaking out of both sides of their mouth, because if they were so hard up for cash why turn down Jamison for an expiring? Why sign Arenas to a such monstrosity of a deal?

I think they are just trying to see whats out, via trade, there since they have a high pick in such a weak draft. Just based on their personnel, I can imagine they are not interested in much outside of Griffin.
