before Q ever got here his post up ability for a G was 1 of the main reasons why he was a player i was interested in... he's gone away from that part of his game so much it's puzzling... it's like he's gotten lazy & fell in love w/his 3 point shot... the post up game is where he can utilize his strength & size advantage against other G's... at this point tho we have Wilson Chandler who can do the same things Q could do in his younger days offensively that we need to give more of a role in this offense to, but in a reserve role i agree, we should be looking to exploit the mismatches as much as possible whenever Q is on the floor while being guarded by smaller defenders.
I agree. So in a reserve role against second string 2 guards I think he can still be productive. I think the negatives of players get overblown on losing teams. He's definitely an NBA player. Not someone you want to rely on, but more of a guy that if he gives you something positive it's a bonus. I think if you turn him into a post player he becomes a far more productive player(if his back can hold up). I personally don't think we need him on our roster, I was just thinking more from his perspective. Why would he not go back to the block? Why would a coach not handle him the way D'Antoni handled him in the last 5 or 6 games or so? If he stays on the perimeter he isn't going to play for anybody in my view.
