He'll probably get in decent shape, maybe even the 'best shape' of his career, but even so I don't think we can expect much. He is young but not super young anymore and it's unlikely that his habits or effort will change much for the better at this point. Let's hope he can keep it together for a few months.

Hmmm.... Can he go from prism to square? I am not talking about triangle.
In any shape he is fool of crap.

At this point there's no way we can trade Curry so the only option is to hope he get's in the BSOL and be useful to the team. IF and that is a HUGE IF Curry is in great shape, he's skilled enough to be of some use, but I do question whether he can ever get his wind up enough to run at the pace we need him to.

Lets just wait and see with him. He has many months to get in a decent enough shape to show he still can play. After such a horrible year, its hard to imagine that but we have to remember he put up nice offensive numbers for us not a long time ago and he is still young enough to come back.

And think about it, we just need him to show he still can play. If he does that, a contending team with an expiring contract will take him. He only has two years left, not a problem with a contending team already capped out and not worrying about 2010.

We'll just see.

When is the lottery?

although I doubt he comes in to camp anything but obese, he is playing for his contract- I think he knows that if he is to have any chance of getting another deal of any kind, he needs to show up this season in his best shape possible.

The bigger question is, if he does show up looking great, can MDA adjust and use him? Berman was hyping on his quotes from when he was announced as Knick's coach that he could adjust to the personnel. Can he?

I don't have the same desire to dump Curry that everyone else has. If we can upgrade, great - not hard to do.

But if he regains his 19 & 7 form, then he is a real threat, and if MDA can adjust just a little and exploit his strengths (low post scoring, double teams, etc), then I don't have a problem with Curry.

I wouldn't resign him, and yes, I would look to trade him, but not necessarily in a hurry.

I don't think Curry is dumb just lazy. He has a number of illegitimate children, shady business decisions and is running out of money. He took supplements to get him ready for his contract year before, I think he does something drastic again. If Kwame can get 4 million on the open market if curry gets himself in shape someone will give him 6. He is playing for his next contract, I do believe he gets in shape.

Unfortunately we can't trade him to the clippers, but he always scored at a high rate and if used correctly he can be effective in getting bigs into foul trouble.

MDA really needs players that care to be effective. It's not his fault that we are terrible.

The guy's a joke and the sooner we can cut ties with him the better. Every year it's, "well, if Eddy comes in in great shape...". Horse****. Enough already. I want no part of this guy anymore. I would give him away for NOTHING right now if there was a team out there that was willing to take his contract....

Exactly ! What's the point of hearing "If Curry can get into shape, he can be...." ?

We haven't seen anything ! Even when he was putting up his 19 & 7 he sucked !

The Knicks as an organization dropped the ball a looong time ago on Curry...They should have had a guy like Ewing mentoring him the moment he signed a contract with the Knicks...Curry seems to be immature and needs someone to teach him to be a professional in this league...He needed to learn what work ethic is and what it takes to be good in the NBA...This kid has no drive to succeed...It's time to move on...
