Glad to see see we're on the same page, Oasis.

Now, time to staighten the NOOB out...

Son, all you even read from me is anti-knick?? OK so I guess all FIVE of your posts on this board are pro Dolan, LayDown and Chaney, huh? Before you jawjack about what I post, READ my posts from the 2+ years I have been posting on this board.

Then go to the WFAN website and listen to how Scott LayDown got disemboweled by Mike and the Mad Dog about Van Horn. Defend that.

Damn right I call myself a Knick fan, and no one, especially someone who just got on this board yesterday, has the right or place to question it. Sit down and play your position, newbie.

Just because fans use common sense regarding BAD management and the BAD decisions they make, does not make for a lesser fan, but a smarter one. To even think that's the case is as backwards as someone who'd blindly follow and defend that BAD management. We are about to be SIX games under .500 and we haven't even played a month deep in the season. It's looking like it's gonna get nothing but WORSE so far. Put that in ya soapbox, fella.

I love my team, and hate moves that make my team a goddamn laughingstock. THAT is what a REAL fan is.

That goes for anyone who has a problem with the criticism of this joke of a management crew. Get a grip and handle it.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Nedyal, OK now I am trying to get a rise outta who?? That's a real credible statement coming from the head honcho of the LayDown fan club.

Please. Then you say that management is trying to make fans hate the team.

Make up ya damn mind. You are all over the place with that one. Thanks for the comic relief, though.

Vmart and Oasis, thanks for having some sense, fellas.

Nah, duke. BAD management making my TEAM BAD makes me cynical. I am far from alone here; many sensible FANS see it as clearly as I do.

http://wfan.com/chrismikeaudio/local_audioclip_322181857.html

A fan is a fan. What fan can stomach the GM of their team sounding like this? Listen to this interview.

Since Scott LayDown HIMSELF couldn't explain his way outta this, then maybe you can.

I will save your spot at the cynical club- at the BACK of the line.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Rise!

You love to instigate and engage. that was not a critical statement.
You are a little edgy and go on the defensive very quickly.

Lighten up, have some fun, there is humor in these clowns.

nothing funnier than reading Wards comments about adultary. How many players in the NBA are such geeks when they open their mouths.

It was very much written about too much god was in our locker rooms and took the edge off our team 5 years ago. God made the knicks soft, Not Layden!

Chew on that bro.

Aww... how cute.

Okay, time to lay it down for ya.

I don't instigate and engage, I resolve and dispatch.
I get defensive? No I just happen to finish what others start, and do so with dead-on efficiency.

When people defend these idiots in management, I speak my piece. Game over.

I have fun like everyone else, but I am a Knicks fan who can't help but be disgusted by the current state of the team. Anyone who calls themselves fans feels the same way, from what I have been reading on this board.

Yeah I am well aware of the God Squad but it's noit just them. Dolan and LayDown want us soft too. No one in their right mind wants their team looking as disgraceful as we do, especially this season.

I chewed on that, bruh... and spit it right back.

aw, can't let it go......

I don't defend management, but try to understand and accept some things.

I hope that the current state works itself thru and the current crop of management and ownership can right this ship. Its easier and reality based than wishing for a new owner.

Bottom line is revenue. Its a buisiness, and in business not every bad move can be avoided.

I don't like the businees plan from a fans perspective. Understanding the business they are in, I can understand the need to maintain a false sense of excitement and keep the seats full. This team has the potential for a playoff run. That is good for buisness in the short run.

Hearing the cries for instant gradification trades as we do on various sites, its apparent many many fans (not all) do want to win now at all costs and don't care about 3 years down the line.

Personally I would accept and support a full rebuild. But revenue and fan interest would not allow that.

Just keep the darn draft picks if it does not work out this year. Let Dice walk, Kt walk, ward walk. get the payroll under control.
Get a top 5 pick, draft a monster, get milos here, and run run run.

I feel what you are saying about the ownership, but IMO we need someone who is not gonna let Dolan screw this team up. If it takes us hitting the Lottery for that to happen, then so be it. Laydown has had his chance in my book.

I agree with you on that last point especially. We don't need to trade our draft picks if we are in the runnings for a high one.

I dunno about Milos though. I really believe he's overrated. Plus, who the hell does this cat think he is, taking his sweet time to come play in the NBA? I think he's scared, and the LAST thing we need right now is another soft player who lacks defensive skills.

Familiarity breeds confidence.

Check out: http://www.euroleague.net/

Sniff around. Im following this guy, and he might be the real deal. THere are players whose game translates into the NBA.

Who does this guy think he is? Well, yeah, he is not afraid to creat a market for himself and make money. Afraid, soft? Nothing I have read about this guy indicates he is nothing but a tiger.

He has yet to see the practice facility, see how he could live, play summer league, practice with players. If he is scared, he not coming. Don't worry. But everybody who writes about him says he is for real. He needs work on the D, but whom doesn't. The boy can shoot and distribute the rock. He is ours. I don't like him thrown in on trades as he might be a steve nash type player, and we'd shoot ourselves if he lets go. He is a reason to be hopeful.

Did you see Baron Davis dunk at the buzzer to win over the pistons. Sick! Why I love hoops.

Hardcore, you understand pro ball. Would you be in a hurry to join a crappy Knick team that already has 3 point guards? The pressure to save the franchise alone is probably giving him pause. I'm not saying that it should scare him away, I mean, this is New York and the NBA. But I'm sure you can see how it could make him reluctant...
Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

True, TRU.

They have yet to clear the space to bring him in since he's been drafted. Good point.

Nedyal, answer this question for me, if he is REALLY trying to make money, then why not make a bee line for the NBA? What pro sports market pays better, between salary and endorsements? That's why I say this dude is scared. If he was really about making money and making a name for himself, he would have BEEN over here doing just that. If he's good enough to live up to the hype, he would have had the props, fame, and the money to go with it by now.

he is making 2 mil a year and endorsements. He is making his mark this year in the elite league. First year there.

He creates a demand by doing well and bids up his price. As a second round pick, he does not have a salary scale to adhere to. He can eat up median exemption. Like Lampe, the knicks must go into into the kitty to sign him. We can clear ward off the books, and then we are at 3 points. He developes even more this year in europe than pineing on the knicks.

Projecting his fear is not accurate What he is doing is smart business. He believes in his success is why he does not grab the money. not like alot of our domestic players. Ulitmatly, lets hope he helps the team.

Yeah, I saw this too! It is funny how Spree is outshooting the better shooter!

They did not compare HEART. That would have been in Spree's favor by far!

I tell you what though, outside shooting can definitely be skewed by a low post presense who draws double teams. See Duncan, Kevin, Shaq.

Yeah, Heart is one of those stats ya can't measure...

I wish they would have added turnovers and personal fouls though.
That would've further exposed the trade for the idiot move it was.

Spree=Heart= 38 minutes, 0 points, 5 rebs, 5 assists. We can knock this trade all we want but the fact is Spree is slipping. KVH as poorly as he has performed on occasions is just as inconsistent as Spree. As far as I'm concerned this trade is a wash at this moment but Spree has been slipping and who knows where his game is next year or by the time the season is over. What I see is a KVH who has shot poorly and is right there with Spree in numbers you know KVH's field goal percentage will get better as the season progresses but Spree has peaked at his customary 40-42% range.

I know Spree was a fan favorite but give KVH a chance after all Spree, we all must admit was on the down side. We can't let our judgment be blinded by our love for Spree.
