Also find it intersesting that 10 guys view Thabeet as a top 10 pick yet so many knuckle heads on this board call him a stiff and a bust.

You thinking that you know more than us is getting a little out of hand bro. You don't.

Dude--I copied and pasted that from realgm--I didnt write one thing on that post--look at the top before opening your mouth--from real GM--I just copied it

LOL.

What about the knuckle heads that don't thing Rubio is a top pick? Lets not leave them out of this.

Wish more people thought this way so he would have a better chance at dropping to us at 8th.

My bad on that one, but it sounds like something you would say! I'll be more selective next time though.

But admit that the ripple effect I caused is f'in funny.

I think there are several players better than Rubio. I hope he can mentally handle this hype.

I agree there are... but Jordan is retired, Magic has AIDS, Larry is now a GM and Shaq cant play PG.

there isnt hype... he's not a 2ppg guy. He's had huge games in huge situations. He's has the best players in the US come back and say he's going to be a star. He's a humble hard working kid that loves the game. This is not some overhyped primadonna

Briggs is to Bynum as Fish is to Rubio.

See you can use that SAT stuff anywhere.

BRIGGS, i saw you post in a Rubio vs. Jennings discussion on RealGM, did you read all the posts by people who watch the Euro game?:

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=896268

And once again, I gather you haven't even watched him for one full game (please correct me if i'm wrong) and you are still saying he' worse than "several players."

Anyone who needs more confirmation about him read that thread. It looks nearly identical to one that went on for a bit the other day, but with even more educated Euro b-ball observers chiming in to set things straight (some of whom openly declared he's not the second coming, or don't even love him as a player).

Yes and I think I'm on it. I want to see what Rubio can do when he has physical athletes like Deron Williams and Chris Paul staring at him--comparing him to Blake Griffin is absurd. What league did Rubio dominate ever--Blake griffin dominated the highest level of American amateur basketball and second place was 100 miles behind him. I don't have to guess whether or not Blake Griffin is physical or athletic or anything--there is no guessing with Blake Griffin--he is that good. With Rubio you have a thin frame a suspect jumpshot only fair athletic ability huge expectations and he is foreign--hasnt played very much against the caliber of athletes he will go up against nightly and hasnt dominated any league ever. I dont think there are questions about Blake Griffin--his mid range jumpshot will get better--thats his only flaw. Rubio--to me there are a bunch of question marks starting with physicality.

Re: Jennings > Rubio

I can't believe anyone is comparing Rubio and Griffin. Griffin has the same type of athleticism power agility and mental package that Amare Stouedmire had/has but Blake is a better rebounder and can handle the ball better.

At one point in the 2004 playoffs prior to his knee injury I thought Amare Stoudemire was the BEST player in the entire NBA.

I keep hearing that NBA PFs are going to stop him physically--then my question back to them is who the F are you talking about?

Right now there is NO other PF in the NBA with the combination of strength athletic explosion and agility like Griffin has. It's not who is going to stop Griffin or if he is 6.85 with no shoes on or 6.8--it's really who the hll will be able to contain this absolute beast of a package. My answer--only injury seperates Blake Griffin from being a 25-14 player in the NBA--the next Karl Malone if you will. His game translates so perfectly--how can anyone see otherwise? he will wither go through you or around you and that is that

On the other hand--Ricky Rubio is long skilled but he is not physically put together like a Chris Paul or a Deron Williams--these players will push this kid anywhere they want him to go on either side of the ball. AND at this time Ricky cannot compensate with a lethal shot because he does not have one. I think the transitional period for Ricky Rubio will become apparent in his first SL game when he sees a guy like Tyreke Evans etc.. on the other side of the ball

Compare Ricky Rubio and blake Griffin---ok done.

who is comparing Rubio to Griffin? Did I miss that somewhere? Is this response your version of the chewbacca defense?

Also your comparing an 18 year old to a couple of elite NBA athletes in their 20s and saying Rubio isnt as physically put together? Wow.. thats a stretch.

So 9 GMs view the draft in this order...

#1 Griffin (10 Top 10 Votes - rated # 1)
#2 Rubio (10 Top 10 Votes - rated #2)
#3 Thabeet (10 Top 10 Votes - rated #3)
#4 Harden (10 Top 10 Votes - rated #4)
#5 Hill (10 Top 10 Votes - rated #5)
#6 Evans (9 Top 10 Votes - rated #6)
#7 Aminu (5 Top 10 votes -- ranked between 7 - 10)
#8 Curry (5 Top 10 Votes -- ranked between 7-10)
#9 Teague (5 Top 10 Votes -- ranked between 7-10)
#10 Lawson (5 Top 10 Votes -- ranked between 7-10)
#11 Clark (4 Top 10 Votes)
#12 Flynn (3 Top 10 Votes)
#13 - 18 (in no particular order were Blair, J. Johnson, Mullens, Jennings, Henderson and Derozan)

how can u possibly still have Harden so high up in the list yet the guy who completely dominated him in the NCAA tourney (Derozan) isn't even rated in the top 12... that doesn't make any sense to me... Derozan's so much more of an athlete than Harden is it's not even funny & he's already got an NBA ready body, & he made Harden look pretty bad the last time they went head to head.

Maybe we will get lucky and teams will take that view. To me it's Griffin 1 Derozan and Evans tied--if any of the former two fall to 8 I will be quite happy. But I dont have confidence in the Knicks.

By the way the only chance we have at Rubio or Griffin is losing tonight.
