wow. you're really up in arms. he was a great signing until nagging injuries he got from leading the league in minutes at one point this year slowed him down - he hurt his ankle right before the all-star break, then his back acted up, then we turned over the roster again, bringing in Hughes and Wilcox.

Why are we making excuses for Duhon? How many other point guards play big minutes throughout a season and have to deal with injuries as well? I thought D'Antoni stated that Duhon "Never gets tired."?

The fact is Duhon was playing well over his head compared to his entire career and he finally fell back to earth becoming the player he actually is. It was a market correction.

The best thing about Duhon is that he is expiring next season so that gives him some value. I just wish they had traded him and Lee before the all-star break while their value was totally inflated.

My question is: How can we acquire Ramon Sessions for next season?

Duhon was a great signing. We won more games with a career backup than we did when Marbury was putting up 20/8. That in itself proves something, that subpar talent that plays hard can win you as many games as overrated talent that alienates teammates.

Knicks were decent until the guy started breaking down.

We need a PG and bigman. Its no secret. Duhon and Lee at PG/C gets you about 30 wins

Duhon was a great signing? Why? Because it was short term? He will never play as well again as he did over the first half of this season. At least not in the NBA.

The knicks were decent this past season until they traded Randolph and Crawford. After that they were just playing on adrenaline and borrowed time.

Really, how much did Marbury put up 20/8 with the Knicks?

~In regard to marbury's 20/8 the only time he put numbers close to 20/8 was his first half-season here when they made the playoffs, and I am pretty sure they sported a better wining percentage with him for that time than any time after.

~Then came the LB season, where Marbury put up very modest numbers and was injured for much for the season (shoulder.). Duhon was probably a better fit for what LB wanted from his PG.

~Then Marbury played most of Isiah season 1 and the Knicks won 33 games despite Crawford and Lee missing the last quarter of the season not to mention a whole host of other injuries. That team was better than this one.

~Then Came Isiah season 2 -- Marbury played less than half that season with ankle surgery and his father's death. 23 Wins.

~Just ask D'Antoni, Duhon was never the key. He was maximizing Crawford and Randolph's scoring abilities in the beginning of the season. He needed some more of that in the back court after they were traded, that is why he tried to bring Marbury back.

In short, what I am saying is that the Knicks are not better with Duhon, they are just bad...again. Bad is bad is bad.

If Crawford and Randolph did not play a game this season, the Knicks probably win 27-28 games. Maybe 26.
