Feel the same way about Sheed as I do about acquiring Jason Kidd. Why? If we were a player or two away, fine, go get both guys, but this team needs an overhaul. A shakedown. Not interested in adding veteran players in the twilight of their careers. Only interested in adding draft picks & players that will be in their prime or entering their prime when we hopefully get this thing straightened out in a couple of years...

I trully beleive if we do not rebuild and get a defensive minded coach or D'antonio change his mind and play defense, we will be the Clippers of the east for years to come.

i dunno who's coming here... do you? no you don't cuz nobody knows... that includes assuming that no bigname players will be coming here in 2010 when those players don't even know what they're gonna be doing in a couple years at this point... i'll tell u what will make us the Clippers of the East for years to come, & that is if we keep doing what we've been doing for the past decade & taking on bad contracts for players we know won't be bringing any championships to NY... on a 1 year deal in a year where we don't own our own lottery pick, it makes sense to bring in veterans to try & compete, but u can't keep taking on longterm deals of 2nd & 3rd rate players & expect to win championships... u need superstars to win titles in the NBA... getting one should be our 1 & only focus right now.

Hey, at worst with all this cap space and/or our 50M in 2010 expirings, we could assemble a Detroit Pistons squad overnight for all we know. Four solid star players.

We have options for a change and that is the exciting bit about this team. Walsh knows EXACTLY what he is doing. Whether or not he succeeds is a different story. He has absolutely put us in position to be GREAT in 2011-2012. That is all we can ask.
