today win v. Philly, non-tank mode, ie win mode.

Marion, 42 min
Bosh, 32 min (5 PF)
DJ man-crush 33 min
Parker 39 min
Calderon 32 min

i would probably attribute that to it being the last home game of the season.

also in related local news:
Quincy Douby signed a partially guaranteed contract with the Raptors that will keep him with team through next fall's training camp.

The night before

Marion, 39 min
Bosh, 38 min (5 PF)
DJ man-crush 34 min
Parker 22 min
Calderon 33 min

i would probably attribute that to it being the game before the last home game of the season.

LOL

This thread seems a bit foolish after tonight's Raptors comeback victory in Washington.

to be fair, they did play the blizzards. they have given up quite a few leads like this all year. both teams had tons o turnovers when i was paying attention early on so it wasnt a well played game (if ever with the blizzards this year).
GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

I think they came back from 13 inthe 4th quarter, though. Ample opportunity to tank. I stopped watching it with the Wizzards up by 4 with about 20+ seconds left. A pleasant surprise when I checked on the final score.

Chad Ford's Lotto Simulator has us taking James Harden now. Only problem is that he has Monroe and Davis going above us and its not certain they're coming out.

Davis says he's staying for sure. He's giving up some major cash, but I guess I can see the logic if he's going to be a focal point for them, but UNC has about six new front court studs coming in next year.

You know, I really get the feeling that we are going to go for the most ready to play guy and that is only a handfull of players. IF they can get Harden they probably will. A heady guy like him or that Buddinger from Arizona is my bet. I'd love one of the higher ceiling guys, but I don't think they will have the patience unless they feel that by trading Nate they might get that second pick and develop them. We have so many holes and I think the only patience they might have is at center. And even there Aldrich and Mullens would be nice off the bench off the bat.

if we decide to trade down then a guy like Budinger wouldn't be such a bad pick at all in the 15-20 range, but my guess is the Knicks will want to feature Gallo a lot more next year & Budinger may be superfluous to our current needs... we need a banger down low who can block some shots as well as a SG or PG we can groom for the future... Budinger's a good shooter no doubt & he's got size that will make him a tough cover for smaller 2's & he is versatile tho, so u never know... MDA does seem to like those multiple position players who can shoot the ball... i've always like Budinger & i think he's a nice team oriented player who plays the game w/smarts & passion that i like, but he isn't ****y or a showboater.

Oh, and Aldrich (the other guy I thought we might pick) just declared he's going back to school. That is one less (good) center for us to select...
I also like Budinger as a big SG, but we have Chandler there. The thing with Chandler though is that he doesn't seem great upstairs, Budinger is a smart player. Imagine him, Gallo, Lee out there together. Throw in a good center and PG and that isn't too bad of a start...

Why tank if there is no obvious franchise changer in the draft? It makes little sense. I can understand a front office demanding the benching of starters in order to get in position for Carmelo and Lebron and Dwayne, but for Thabeet?

Number 2: No coach is ever going to tank. He will only do it if forced. Coaches want to win, and their paychecks depend on it.

If a player tanks, then he should not be on your team.

If there was one game in the entire season to want a loss tonight is it versus the Nets.

Toronto gets Chicago and will more than likely lose putting them at 32-50.

Winning tonight would give us 32-50 and we'd have to yet again rely on the coin flip to see who get's the higher draft pick. We haven't had much luck with that VS Toronto in the past (see CV3 or Sweetney).

Man, Im surprised none of the games ended with a 1-0 Final in quadruple OT since teams like Toronto/Washington should be tanking against each other.

or very high-scoring affairs when teams start ricky davising each other and shooting at their own baskets.

I'm confused, because the orignal title of the thread clearly says tank, not "tank".
