Lee + Gallinari for Bosh might get it done.

we'll have to throw in another high value asset other than Lee, & Gallo's coming off back surgery... it'll probably take the pick along w/Lee & another asset to get TOR interested.

Re-signed Lee (starting at 9 mil) + draft pick (2.5ish mil) + either ending Mobley/Q/Al deal 9-10 mil) for Bosh (15.8 mil) + Kapono (6.6 mil)?

I'd do that deal every day of the week and twice on Sundays. We could lock Bosh up long term, not compete for his services, and start building around him. The Knicks would finally have a decent three point shooter too.

The Knicks would have to acquire a first rounder though, as you cannot trade a pick if you do not have a first in back-to-back years. Meaning, the Knicks would need to make a trade before the draft to do that deal.

And, Lee cannot be resigned until after the draft... something I keep forgetting about.

But in theory, I love the idea.

i'd give up lee and a pick for bosh, even if he isnt the #1 pf in the League.

before we do any deal for Bosh I'd check with Denver to see if we could use the same deal to get Melo
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

When I talked about acquiring Bosh in a trade earlier in the season, TMS just made fun of me. Saying why would the Raptors do that. Now it's like but of course. Visionaries never get enough respect.

Bosh probably puts up 26-7 points in this system- maybe more - maybe he grabs 10 boards (I hope!)

Big improvement over Lee in this regard.

go up and down the list of young pf's in the league. tell me who has more skills, is willing to learn, works hard, and represents the league and franchise? you guys realize he's younger than lee, right? and i'm not the biggest bosh fan either...

This idea that Bosh wouldn't absolutely thrive with the Knicks is insane. Bosh would go for 27 and 12 with this team, no doubt in my mind.

when did i make fun of u for wanting to target Bosh? it was probably the trade proposal u posted that i thought was unrealistic... it's gonna take a nice package to land that guy.

i'd put it more at around 24 & 9, but that's still better than anything we got.

You did early in the season. When I predicted it wouldn't work out well for Bosh in Toronto no matter what they did. You didn't think they would trade him. I think that was when DJ was calling him a MVP type of player. It's cool.

i still don't think they'll trade him... & if they do it's gonna take a really good package of assets to get him... anyone who thinks we're getting him for D Lee & an expiring or Gallo is kidding themselves IMHO.

Agreed. It would take virtually every asset we've got: Lee, Gallo, Chandler, and our lottery pick would be my guess.

Bonn, what if they know that Bosh has no intention on staying there? Why would a team throw all type of assets at a team when they know this? All Bosh has to do is make it clear finally that he is outta there and what possible locations he intend on going to. For example, why would the Warriors give up Randolph if they know that Bosh has no intentions on staying in Oakland.

Folks are a little too used to having Isiah as GM. Not every deal has to be overpaid for.

I think we saw Walsh stick to his guns on Zach - from giving up a pick to just getting ending contracts back & players that were/would have been serviceable in this system (Tim Thomas/ Mobley).

If there is a fair deal to be made in the off season to get Bosh, I am sure Walsh will be in a position to make it, and I am sure Lee will like Toronto- its a little bit like NYC, just smaller and cleaner.

let's try for Melo before we go after Bosh

Bosh's injury problems scare me as far as giving him a massive contract
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
