Wouldn't Lee need to agree in advance too to do the sign and trade....so negotiations on contract would have to be worked out prior to the draft.

I would rather look to do a deal with the Timberwolves if we could do a sign and trade with both nate/lee with our pick for their pick and randy foye that would give us a combo point guard that can play defense hit the big shot and bring leadership and we can add the big we are looking for.

he would have to, yep, but if he wants the 6th year, he has to go where we want him to go

you guys really think lb wants ANYTHING to do with ANYONE on our roster? c'mon...stop wasting time typing scenarios when you know it aint gonna happen......we have all bad karma players and lb is in the process of building a good karma team.....he will let sleeping dogs (knicks) where they lie.

I think the only sign and trade that will make sense is Ben Gorden of the Bulls. Lets say Portland wants Lee they will overpay and force the KNicks had to match. There is no way they will give up expirings they will make the Knicks take back 50 million close to the same years. Lee isnt Lewis or Joe Johnsom you either get him on a offer sheet or go find someone else.

Lee for Ben Gordon? no thanks... Nate & filler for Gordon straight up is about all i would do... otherwise pass... not interested in any undersized SG's.

Strangely, even Isola suggests a sign-and-trade scenario that involves Lee/Nate.

The Knicks do own a first-round pick in this year's draft and barring a miracle turnaround they will be drafting in the lottery. Walsh, according to sources, will try to acquire another first-round pick either this year or next season - and he may be able to land one in a sign-and-trade for either David Lee or Nate Robinson.
