Uh he's 35. At this point, Camby obviously wouldn't be a long term solution. I think the annoyance is that he shouldn't have been traded to the Nuggets in that lopsided trade in the first place.

Of course then again, if you combine trades (which I think is unfair, but to illustrate a point), didn't we effectively trade something like Camby, Kurt Thomas, Maciej Lampe, Mark Jackson, the #7 overall, two other 1st rounders and two second rounders for Stephon Marbury?

No, it was for Marbury and Penny Hardaway. Get it right!

I think Marcus is very talented but the last two months he has been a total dog and doesnt play half the time. He sits out games, and against the Knicks it looked like he stayed out all night. You think a guy that got 10 points and ten board and 1 block last month and is getting 8 points and 6 boards this month at 37 years old can help this team? This guy has made the clippers a big winner and denver just went in the tank when he left so I feel bring on Camby for the Knicks next year.

i think it's more nostalgia than anything. If LJ or Ewing would suit up, many posters would welcome the player back.

no, actually it's his ability to put up double doubles and be a shotblocking intimidator in the paint... it's funny u would reference the fact that he hasn't helped the Clippers or Nuggets win but always the first to defend D Lee when the same accusations are thrown his way.

er, you responding me to or King? Cause that's just confusing what you just wrote. And BTW, Camby is finished.

i'm responding to both of u... don't see how it's confusing... how about explaining to me how a guy averaging 11 / 11 / 2 while shooting over 50% on the season is finished in your eyes instead of the lame one liner response w/no factual basis to back it up?

LOL, and you complain about Earl and his responses?

u know the double standard u hold for certain posters around here gets on my nerves sometimes... but that's besides the point... how about backing up why u think Camby's finished? or do u just wanna continue calling me out for my hypocritical ways?

yeah & LOL, u're the one admonishing me for my responses to earl... so how about practicing what u preach, or lay off my case about how i respond to earl's smart ass comments when he tries to stir things up? i don't like to get into it w/u dude, but the double standard u hold for certain posters around here gets on my nerves sometimes.

TMS, I was being sincere in my response to King about the nostalgia thing with regards to Camby, and I was confused about your response, because I am not the first to defend Lee, so that's why I asked. You are the one that has tried to stir it up by calling my post a lame one liner. You could have just disagreed and told me what his stats were and that outside of the game versus the Knicks he has been an outstanding player that was traded for a second rounder.

i was addressing King about his rushing to Lee's defense whenever the loser labels were thrown his way.

i was addressing u when u said Camby was finished, which i thought was a lame response w/no factual backup to support it... i wasn't trying to stir anything up, gimme a break... i asked u for a response & u came back w/nothing but pointing out how i complain about earl's responses to my posts... i already gave u my reasoning on why i think Camby's still a productive player in the NBA, u didn't give me anything to support why u disagreed... i dunno what ur problem is w/me lately but i've been very respectful of almost everyone on this forum... earl i don't particularly care for because he acts like his opinion is superior to everyone elses & never shows me the same kind of regard for my posts that u would like me to show for his... i find that confusing to say the least... if u remember correctly i responded in kind to earl's initial 1 liner response w/a 1 liner of my own, but then he continued to push the issue & because i know very well the types of word games he likes to play i chose to respond in the only way i knew he would understand... for cursing i was wrong but if u don't think this guy is trying to incite arguments you're kidding urself... so if u had a set standard you enforced & stopped picking & choosing who u stand up for i might know where my boundaries are.

oh you're right. It's been so long, I totally forgot about Penny Hardaway.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I guess what I am trying telling you that there is different kinds on inciting arguments, and cursing and what not is on the wrong side of it.

He is tall, plays defense, rebounds and blocks shots. The Knicks do not have that combination in any of their players. He also runs the floor well but doesn't demand the ball in the post so he fits D's gimmicky offense.

You forgot to put down injury prone when describing his attribute. His defense and shot blocking downsnt seem to do much in the long term. In a league where solid big men are as rear as ever. The clipps have Kaman, Camby and Zach, not to mention a bonfide pg. Why have they only won 18 games

Interestingly enough he has always played at least 29 games a year and at least 20 plus minutes a game so he fits the category for savior as defined by some on this forum.

is there a rumor we're chasing Camby this summer or something? this seems out of the blue.

if there was one horrible move from this decade i would undo it would be trading Camby. of course he's past his prime now, but he's been horribly misused in LA by Dunleavy and that team is a wreck. what's the point of taking potshots at Camby, king? because he plays defense? because he played on the last knicks team with a winning record? gee, i wonder why we remember him fondly.

If I can follow King's logic, I think he's saying that nothing matters here until the 2010-11 season (when Camby would be 37). Either that or he's simply confused about Camby's age.

Camby's contract expires before 2010. Reason enough to try to get him.
