I think Isiah was punch drunk with power and thought with unlimited funds he could rebuild on the fly and make the playoffs at the same time.

Very ambitious plan. It might have worked but he really had to gamble which is easy when its other peoples money.

The Anucha thing aside!

I think The warriors are a better fit for Isiah.

I like the part that said he is now looking for a head coaching position at the college level. I cannot imagine a college hiring a canidate convicted of sexual harrassment, who has been recorded saying racist statements, demonstrated complete incompetence as a coach and stopped holding practice at the end of his tenure. If you add the instability of his mental health and the fact that he fits the description of a sociopath he is a lawsuit/buyout waiting to happen. The only reason it might work is that there isn't a salary cap to mess up in the NCAA. My guess is that Isiah could either close a college or get a program banned for a decade.

why are people suprised? Isiah is a good fit there. We wouldnt have any money to spend, so he would fill that roster with athletic guys. If he wasnt allowed to make stupid big money trades the team would be Ariza, Frye, Nate, Lee, Crawford, etc etc... they would win about 30 games a year, have some exciting games, put some fans in the seats and Sterling would be thrilled.

you're forgetting to add in the 2 first rounders for Curry - Aldridge and Noah, and then the picks that went for Marbury.

I suspect if he had been told no trades giving up picks, we'd be winning more than 30 games- that squad would probably be in the 40 win category eventually.
not at all... Clips would never let him spend that money so he would have to rely on the draft. If he did that here we would probably have a good squad

Oh dear. The guy who lost on every single trade might do a good job? Overspending wasn't his only problem, let's be fair.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Maybe Donald Sterling asked Isiah if he had experience with this.

Elgin Baylor, the former Los Angeles Clippers general manager who left the team last fall after 22 years, has sued the franchise, the NBA and team owner Donald Sterling alleging employment discrimination. The lawsuit maintains that Baylor was “discriminated against and unceremoniously released from his position with the team on account of his age and his race” and that he was “grossly underpaid during his tenure with the Clippers, never earning more than $350,000 per year, when compared with the compensation scheme for general managers employed by every other team in the NBA.”
