The key to our success next year is if Gallo can recover from his injuries and be 100% for the future. I would be happy with the 2 forward spots of Gallo and The Mayor and adding a shotblocking and rebounding center with a sweet shooting SG and a playmaking PG. I am willing to trade DLee and Nate right now to accomplish this task. I love DLee but you have to trade something to get something.

Nash, Camby and then draft Stephen Curry would do wonders for our team.

Oh boy, a Nash Curry backcourt? That would keep Camby busy, that's for sure.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

we need a franchise star to build around, period... we don't have one... anything we can do to get one we should do... i don't wanna hear anything about we must hold onto Lee & Nate, or we must make the playoffs next year so Utah doesn't get a lottery pick, or we must do anything else... i don't care if we gotta be the worst team in the NBA for the next 5 years in order to do it, but give me that chance at a top lottery pick every year & i'll take that over being just good enough to ensure we miss out on all the great talent every year while not making it into the playoffs... getting that franchise guy should be our one & ONLY priority right now... u don't win championships in the NBA w/o two of them on your roster most of the times much less without one.

it's like driving a car & ur navi's telling u to make a right turn to get to your destination, but u keep ignoring those directions & decide to keep going straight on the road you're already on because you're afraid of what you might encounter if u get off that road... don't let fear drive our actions... we got absolutely nothing to lose right now by taking that turn.

we don't need the #1 pick, we need to buy lots of picks

After the top five there are bunches of PG's, some high upside players, and lots of interesting talents.

I'd like to see Mike draft a new slate of players that fit his style.
Nate and Lee are interesting talents. By the way Mike D LOVES Lee. Why draft a team another team of role players who put up good stats on 30 win teams. Arent you the one that wants to dump Lee just for that reason?

Knicks need a star (or two).

The only reason you go out and buy extra picks is if you can get rid of Lee, Nate, Curry and JJ. Then fill the roster with 2nd rounders and late first rounder to play with Gallo and Chandler. Let Al Harrington take 40 shots a game and hope like hell you can get Wade, Lebron and Nash to all sign here in 2010
Why are Curry and JJ a factor? I don't get your logic. We shouldn't try to take a shot on high upside guys like Derozan, Holiday, Maynor, or Brackins because we need stars? What does that mean?

You think LeBron and Wade are more likely to come to an empty roster?
You think it will be easier to trade Curry or JJ if we have no assets to pair them with?
of those guys you listed only Derozan has a shot to be a star.

Why are Curry and JJ a factor? Because they combine for 18mm dollars. Who would you like to offer to Lebron as a supporting cast? Amare or Dirk, or Eddy Curry and Jarred Jefferies? What is the logic your struggling with? If we got rid of those guys we have Nate, Lee, Chandler, Gallo and whoever we draft this year... a bunch of guys that would look pretty good on a team with a couple stars on it.

Not going to happen but its fun to pretend!

We are getting Bosh and Joe Johnson and will be a 40 win first round exit team for the next 5 years. Cant wait

i'll trade anyone on this team for Chris Bosh & you'd be nuts if you wouldn't either.

guy never wins. Why is he so great on a terrible team but our guys suck because they are on a terrible team?

He's OK.

In this offseason the Knicks need to:

1) Acquire a quality PG for the future (pray for Rubio, possibly look for Nash)
2) Lure Bosh out of Toronto
3) Fix Gallo's back

With just that alone, there will be enough improvement for 2010 to get Bosh to re-sign. With Bosh resigned and quality PG, the Knicks suddenly have become a legitimate and enticing place for other big free agents in 2010. If those things happen, suddenly the future isnt so dim....

Of course Bosh would have to be acquired via trades.

Im all for using Lee / Nate / Chandler in some combination to make that happen

It really hasn't been fun to watch the Knicks for the past 8 years. At what point do you consider stop rooting for a franchise that hasn't given you the slightest ray of hope for so long ?

There's not even one player I really like on this roster !!

Ask BoSux fans or try 84 years.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Think of the Chicago Cubs, The White Sox, The Kings, and many other teams who never saw a championship but are still faithful. I remember the championships in 1969 and 1973 it was great times.
What I do is just stop going to games and turn of my TV after the 1st quarter because we al know the outcome. But I'm still a Knicks fan.

I'm not giving three guys up for Bosh. His team is worse than ours. You keep chandler at all costs. If you want to do a gallo lee sign and trade fine, but don't give up the house for the guy.

Bosh isnt worth that and proved this year he's not a guy you build around. He's a 2nd tier all star, *maybe* as good as Elton Brand or pre injury McDyess but thats iffy.

More and more I think DW tries to bring in some servicable vets and rookies and tells Lebron and Wade they can run the city and build their own team however they want it when they come here

Im not saying that all 3 (Lee, Nate, Chandler) go to Toronto in exchange for Bosh, only that they would all be available to make the deal work. Throw in some expiring contract money (, and I think that the Raptors realize that they'll end up losing Bosh sooner or later for nothing and make a deal to get something back while they can.

I've heard the "if he's so good, why is his team so bad?" argument plenty of times and I dont buy it. After seeing him play in the Olympics, Im convinced he can be a super-Lee who can make hustle plays, score, and more importantly play defense. Bosh has underperformed this season, but that does not make him overrated. Put him in a situation where he wants to be and watch him thrive.

Even if Bosh isnt on the same level as a LeBron or a Wade, he is exactly the kind of player both of them want to play with. If either of them were to sign with the Knicks, Bosh is exactly the kind of player they would be asking Walsh to acquire.
