How many topics are you going to make from now till 2010 saying the same stuff? Cue the nyk4ever "Groundhog Day" movie picture.

You mean this one?

Briggs truthfully though. When Walsh took this job he said he was going to do whatever it took to have flexibility in 2010.

Then when D'Antoni was hired it told me that this was going be like the stock-market per se since he can really inflate a players value with his offense

Find some stock - players who expire before 2010

Trade our crappy stock - guys like zach, crawford, etc

Get new stock with promise on the cheap
- guys like harrington, hughes along with our own players and hope their value goes up, sell high on the stock.

Personally this is exactly how I envisioned it going down.

We have no description as a team. I don't know what players are coming or going. They always overrated themselves. We have a coach who does not believe in a 7 footer--I really want to throw up after 9 years of this and you know it's going to go on for the foreseeable future. This is a disgrace--there is no direction here no players NOTHING and worst of we cant draft and we have no pick next year. We'll spend our time getting ready for Joe Johnson and 5 scrubs in 2010

I hate this style of basketball go get me a 7-0 C and a 6-10 PF and start from there.

Do we have one keeper of a player--just one that they feel confident about. I would think after one full season that you would have 1. I watched the Kings last night--they have a much more defined roster with nice size despite winning 15 games. We want to get rid of Lee Nate Gallo could easily be damaged goods--the coach wants only certain types of players and I don't think he is to good at picking them to be honest aka Marcus Banks we have like 9 GMs now

I wouldn't worry about comparing us to other loser franchises. The Wizards and Warriors seem to have defined rosters too, but they're in a worse state than the Knicks in reality.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

IMO, Wilson Chandler is as close to a keeper as we have because he plays on both ends of the floor & is improving every year & is not the type of guy who's concerned about his statline at the end of the night but still manages to produce at a very nice clip for essentially a 1st year player... every night he just goes out & plays in the system & does what his coach tells him to do w/o complaint & doesn't get caught up in grandstanding & showboating whenever he makes a play... & most importantly, the guy plays defense! i'd sooner let Lee & Nate go before i traded Wilson, just my personal opinion.

Briggs, didnt you make a thread a couple of weeks ago talking about adding a piece or two to make a playoff push?

Didn't mention numerous times that Nate Robinson is a heck of a player?

Didn't you say you want to resign Lee this offseason and that he would be a tremendous asset to a team if he were playing along side a legit center?

Didn't you say Wilson Chandler could be a very good player at the 2?

Now all of a sudden, this team is not defined and we have no keepers.......I swear we have the most flip-flopping fans in the NBA.

I'll be honest with you--right now Id like to win the lottery and take Blake Griffin and go from there. I just hope we lose enough to even have a chance. Then I would be willing to trade any current player or a combination of current players if need be to get Deozan and start my franchise over building around those two--alas a pipe dream.

Sanders should stay in school. He's kind of like a Balkman from the C position. Raw but obviously he can be very effective.

Briggs, we can get Derozan. We're in the 9th slot now.

Griffin - Harden - Rubio - Thabeet - Hill - Evans those six are locks

Monroe - Holiday - Clark - Brackins - Derozan - Clark - Curry - Teague - Al Farouq - Jennings

those guys could go anywhere in the next group

I have to respond to the Memphis runs our offense comment. If you mean spread the floor on the break they do that but does that mean that they are playing our offense? Calipari is one of the best coaches on the planet. He got a bum deal when he coached the Nets. The strike and the arrival of Marbury destroyed what he was doing in nj but he is an incredible coach. Spreading the floor on the break or moving the ball to the open man isn't D's offense, it is smart basketball and what coaches teach their teams. The difference with D' is the emphasis on getting a three point shot up is so extreme that guys pull up and pass out when they have a sure two if they drive to the basket. The Knicks have had a great pick and roll this year also.

IMO Derozan won't be taken any lower than #5

Briggs I thought we were putting Chandler at the Shooting guard and forgetting about him. I also thought Lee was an all-star proven. If that's still the case that's 2 out of the starting 5 set for the future. If it's not the case then let me know.
I just hope that people will like me
