They stink. That is normal for a young team and some expiring contracts. Hey what's up with Wilcox? Dude still not getting burn if nothing at all.

We learned beyond a shadow of a doubt that Nate and Lee should be re-signed at all costs, for their leadership, winning attitudes and defensive intensity.

Every time we get to a certain level, the professor, Vince Carter, is there to teach us that we're not even close.

We need to seriously target oversized, over athletic players in the mold of Boston, Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando, and Philly.

Evans - Thabeet - Warren - Sanders - Christmas - Derozan - Maynor

Come on Donnie - get 'er done

if the knicks become buyers, they could have a backcourt of nash/vince next season.

I'd fully endorse a smart plan that involves the Knicks becoming buyers in a sellers market. There is too much talent to be had at low prices.

I want LeBron here as much as anyone, but if we have a shot to get some very good players right now, I think we have to take it.

that all depends on what players u'r talking about... players like Bosh, Amare, Paul, Howard, Kobe, etc... these are guys worth giving up any cap flexibility in 2010 for... u don't go all in on guys like Vince Carter... that's the same kinda logic that landed us Zach Randolph a couple years ago... Vince is not gonna get u where u want to be.

You definitely have to be smart about it.

You can bring Vince in if you get some above average talent at the other positions too. Doesn't just have to be Kobe or Paul, you can get a lot of very good players together and build a contender that way too.

if we target players like Vince, Redd, Odom, G Wallace, etc. we're just repeating the same stupid mistakes we made to get us into this crappy ass cap situation to begin with... remember Glen Rice? remember Stephon Marbury? remember Fugazy? remember Eddy Curry? remember Jamal? remember Zach Randolph? let's not be stupid & sacrifice the 2010 plan for players we know will not take us anywhere near to where we wanna get to.

I didn't learn anything. I've known for a while that we shouldn't overpay for guys like Lee/Nate. I don't think its a coincidence that they are all the sudden having career years as soon as MikeD walks in the door. If they wanna resign for their proper value then I have no problem with it. Anything else, let the other teams in the league set the market, match the offer and pull a Sign&Trade for young players/draft picks.

I pretty much agree but what if the other team doesn't want to sign and trade? What would we have to take back in that situation? That might not be anymore palatable than re-signing them for more than we want.

Trade them or let them go, it really doesn't matter at this point with them the Knicks suck without them might not.

What are you talking about? I've finally seen the light. And I gotta tell ya, that light is pretty bright for this Nate and Lee led franchise.

I'm glad that you see Nate is a superstar. I been telling you all. David Lee is the second coming of Jeff Ruland

The one thing I will add: it does look like Dave is playing hurt. Dude has no lift or energy.

Don't know what is up with Nate. And Harrington is caca unless he is in scoring mode.

Maybe he is at 60-70%. Maybe they're all at 60-70%.

I mean it's not definite that if a team that signs either to an offer sheet would want to do a sign and trade but I'm pretty sure most teams would.
