we're not getting Lee & Nate to sign for a combined $11 mil per bro... that's not realistic... Nate will get no less than a full MLE level contract & Lee will get considerably more.

Nate and Lee having their best yrs. They will get paid since they're restricted but Knicks will not be able to match on one of them.

You can always replace Nate but i think you need David Lee on the boards with the double double rebounding.

Marcus williams may not be the one to take over Nate's spot but someone will.

There's a new reality out there folks. Lee is not going to get Kirilenko money.

These guys are both in reality 6th men and they'll get 2009 offers like that. He's not getting $10 per. That's just irresponsible.

We've all been used to the money that useless Knicks have made around here. That's not real. Look at the salaries of the Spurs.

If the new cap will be $54 million. You're going to pay Lee $10 million of that? No way. That is not the way to build a team.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Barbosa is getting $6 per and that's considered a bad contract.

Nate can't get $6 per in a bad economy.

so what do u think he's going to make? $7 mil per? come on dude... he's second in the NBA in rebounding & leading the league in double doubles... he's gonna command more than that... whether it's irresponsible or not to sign him to those dollars is another debate, which is why people are wondering what Donnie's plans are when it comes to him cuz he's been focused on 2010 from the very beginning.

The New York Knicks are not signing the dude to $10 mil per.

If the Blazers or the Thunder think that he's the guy to get them to the next level since they have more pieces already in place, you have to either let them take him, or try to work out a sign and trade with them.

This team cannot sign Lee to a near Max deal. That would kill us down the road.

i agree it would kill us down the road... the only way i can see that happening is like i said, if Donnie can pull another miracle outta his hat & dump Curry's contract next year for an expiring.

This whole getting under the cap thing is not an easy task. That's why Isiah wanted to go the other route.

Isiah could have come in & done nothing & been under the cap a couple years ago... it's not hard if you just commit to the plan & stick with it.

That's fine, but people can't buy into that and then think that we're going to be able to hang onto players like Lee and Nate.

Just gotta be real.

There is no way Lee is getting Kirilenko money. He got 6 years 80 million that is stealing money. If Biedrins gets 6/60 and Bobby Simmons get 10, and Bogut get 12 nillion a year 10 is what market is going to be.

Those are all mistakes though..

Suckers. You don't know what you're missing.

I hope Donnie Walsh wakes up from his 6 month nap and doesn't screw up another draft.

I hope he can rectify his mistake of not trading Jeffries and Nate in a package at the deadline when he had the chance.

Nate's been as valuable to the team lately as Lee and that's not to criticize Lee. Lee provides the stability and Nate the spark.
