the only thing "Crawful-ish" about Hughes is his shot selection... if u compare the way these guys play they're really nothing alike...

Damn you still love the dude don't ya.
The point I was making was about being hot and cold. Larry does what Jamal does in that respect he can be real hot for an entire week and look like a superstar and then he can follow that up by looking like an NBDL walk on.

I'd still take Hughes over Crawful though. Hughes plays defense and is better at creating for teammates. I know I know Crawful has the Crawsover of doom but that's more showboating than creating.

Hughes > Crawful
Harrington > Crawful

Not sure what else there is to say...pretty happy with Hughes but fully expecting an NBDL type week from him as well. Just a rental though.

i was just commenting on his style of play... he's nothing like Jamal at all if watch the way he moves around on the court & gets his points.

I don't think he needs to be the next Spree to justify a trade in which we gave up Tim Thomas and JJ1. He'll have his better and worse games and certainly will never be a star or even above some criticism. But for a very small price we got a guy who is a clear upgrade in a starting position and a guy who makes our defense better.

Right, but he does need to be on that level to be a starting 2Guard in this league no?

Problem that all of the other teams have had with him is that he's a volume shooter so you can't just bring him in for spot minutes. You have to run him out there for 35 minutes a game and he's gotta perform to a certain level to justify that.

He's getting better and he's an OK compliment to Nate as far as the backcourt goes. The sweet thing would be if we made the 8 seed against Cleveland and he took out his aggression on them to win us a couple of games.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

John, Sprewell was arguably our best player before he was traded - certainly one of our best players. I don't think Hughes has to be on Spre's level to start. He's been an upgrade over the previous starter we have. He's a very good perimeter defender and, while not a good shooter, he's not that bad either.

I'm not saying we couldn't or shouldn't upgrade the position when the chance comes. What I am saying is that he's an upgrade over Q and Craw and that we got him for Tim Thomas and JJ1. How could anyone hate that trade? It was a good trade that improved our team.
